Summary

  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Anis Mehmeti gets a well-earned rest after his opening goal. He's replaced by West Ham loanee George Earthy.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Appeals for a penalty as Morgan Whittaker's effort appears to strike the arm of Zak Vyner.

It was by his side though, and would have been harsh.

  3. Postpublished at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    QPR 3-1 Watford

We've reached that point in the game where both managers start to make changes.

Tom Cleverley has thrown on Rocco Vata, Festy Ebosele and Edo Kayembe in place of Tom Ince, Moussa Sissoko and Yasser Larouci.

While QPR have brought on Koki Saito and Nicolas Madsen in place of Kieran Morgan and Ilias Chair.

  4. Postpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Darko Gyabi feeds Morgan Whittaker down the right and he does well to beat his man and reach the byline, but he fluffs his lines with the end product.

Neither a convincing cross or shot.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Ibrahim Cissoko is back and coming on to replace Bali Mumba.

  6. Postpublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Millwall 0-0 Oxford Utd

Romain Esse immediately goes on another one of his meandering runs, swerving past three challenges before crossing from the right.

The ball in hangs all the way up and drops right below the bar, with Jamie Cumming just tipping it behind for the corner.

Oxford just get it away for another corner before there's another scramble.

Eventually there's some respite with a free kick. Another strong start from the hosts.

  7. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Millwall 0-0 Oxford Utd

Will we see any goals at The Den today?

Time to find out - the second half is up and running.

The Us make a half-time change with Peter Kioso coming on for Elliott Moore.

  8. CLOSE!published at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Another lovely Max Bird pass finds Mehmeti, who takes it in his stride and shoots powerfully at Conor Hazard, who pushes it away.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Ryan Hardie is coming off for Plymouth. Here comes a fit again Michael Obafemi.

    18 minutes to go.

  10. BIG CHANCEpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    QPR 3-1 Watford

    This should be 3-2.

Ilias Chair gives the ball away to Kwadwo Baah in the middle of the park and he runs at the Hoops defence, sending a ball across for Vakoun Bayo - who gets it totally wrong and miskicks entirely.

There's the slightest of touches on the way through which might just have put the striker off, but it's not been his day so far.

  11. Postpublished at 13:59 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

After all the chaos at the start of the second half, this game has begun to settle a bit. It is quite scrappy all of a sudden.

Feel free to disregard this update in about two minutes, though.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    QPR 3-1 Watford

QPR break with such pace through Paul Smyth and the pacey winger sees his shot blocked.

Jake Clarke-Salter is coming on for Morgan Fox and, surprise surprise, Rayan Kolli comes on in place of goal scorer Michael Frey.

It is a good goal from QPR there. It is annoying that Watford have conceded after they just got back into the game.

But that was a good goal and sometimes you have to say that is just good football by the opposition.

  14. Postpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    QPR 3-1 Watford

Michael Frey is walking a fine line now.

He's already on a yellow card and has just had a talking to from the referee following another foul.

Don't be surprised if we see Rayan Kolli very soon.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

Three changes for Bristol City on the hour.

Scott Twine, Nahki Wells and George Tanner are coming off to be replaced by Yu Hirakawa. Sam Bell and Ross McCrorie.

  16. goal

    Sam Field (56 mins)

    But hold on!

Not even a minute later and the two-goal lead is restored!

The home immediately pile on the pressure but Watford get it clear eventually.

But Paul Smyth picks it up and runs down the right wing and crossing in for Sam Field to head in the third.

    The perfect response.

  17. Postpublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Plymouth 1-2 Bristol City

    Alan Richardson
    BBC Radio Devon commentator

The away end is bouncing once again here at Home Park.

    Plymouth need to go again.

  18. goal

GOAL: QPR 2-1 Watfordpublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Kwadwo Baah (55 mins)

Well how costly could that miss be from Jonathan Varane?

QPR commit too many players forward and Watford get forward at pace with Georgi Chakvetadze.

The midfielder plays in Kwadwo Baah and his shot deflects off the challenge of Kenneth Paal and goes in past Paul Nardi.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    Millwall 0-0 Oxford Utd

    Goalless at the break.

Millwall started well in their first game under Alex Neil but could not take their early chances and the Us eventually grew into the game.

  20. CLOSE!published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January

    QPR 2-0 Watford

This should be game over - how is it not 3-0?

First Paul Smyth's shot is blocked by Daniel Bachmann but the ball falls to Jonathan Varane with virtually an open goal to hit at and he blazes it high and wide.

    A huge let-off for Watford.
