  1. 'It's almost attack against defence'published at 20:09 BST

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Stoke

    Danny Collins
Former Stoke defender on BBC Radio Stoke

It's almost attack against defence from about the first five minutes.

We're turning the ball over and Boro are putting pressure on us.

Can we get a few passes together and take the sting out of the game?

  2. Postpublished at 20:08 BST

    Derby 0-0 Charlton

Home goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is put under pressure by Charlie Kelman as he deals with a back pass.

Zetterstrom does just enough to prevent the visiting striker getting on the end of things.

  3. Postpublished at 20:06 BST

    Leicester 0-0 Wrexham

    This is breathless end-to-end stuff.

It is Leicester's turn to attack. Jordan James slides a centre across the face of goal, but it is slightly too far away from the stretching Patson Daka.

Daka does reposiiton his body to get on the end of Luke Thomas' cross from the left, but his header loops over.

  4. Postpublished at 20:05 BST

    Leicester 0-0 Wrexham

    Almost a calamity for Leicester!

Hamza Choudhury is short with his simple pass back to Jakub Stolarczyk and Josh Windass is quick to nip in. The Wrexham man pokes just wide. He really should have hit the target to punish the Foxes.

    Rocking Robins...

In comes a Bristol City corner and Rob Atkinson rises highest to send a header into the back of the net.

His first of the season and a first goal for the Robins since February 2023.

  6. 'We don't really know what to do'published at 20:03 BST

    Sheffield United 0-0 Southampton

    Jo Tessem
Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

We lose the ball a little bit too easily.

One of the weakness we have is in the final third, we don't really know what to do, it's a bit of a mish-mash, we don't know who is meant to be where.

  7. Postpublished at 20:03 BST

    Blackburn 0-0 Swansea

Balazs Toth is forced into the first save in anger at Ewood Park.

He has plenty of time to see Ethan Galbraith's pile-driver from 35 yards. But the power meant it was a 7/10 save. Had to get himself behind it.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:03 BST

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Stoke

Tell you what there's a bit of needle to this game, and it's all the better for it.

Sammy Silvera, the early Boro sub, has gone into the book for a foul on Lamine Cisse and ref David Webb is having a busy night already.

When the ball is in play Aidan Morris has just drawn a routine save from Viktor Johansson at his near post from just outside the box moments after the keeper produced a flying save to his right to deny a curler from David Strelec.

    Boro on top.

  9. Postpublished at 20:03 BST

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Southampton

Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is yet to be threatened by Sheffield United.

It's quiet inside Bramall Lane and it's noticeable how many empty seats there are...

  10. Postpublished at 20:01 BST

    Derby 0-0 Charlton

We are up and running in the late game tonight.

A 20:00 BST start at Pride Park.

  11. Postpublished at 19:59 BST

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Southampton

Dear me, almost a gift for the visitors.

Home goalkeeper Michael Cooper takes a back pass but rather than just hammer it he takes a touch which allows Adam Armstrong to close him down and he gets a nick on it but Cooper is just able to dive on the loose ball and make up for his error.

  12. goal

GOAL: Hull City 0-2 Prestonpublished at 19:57 BST

    Michael Smith (10 mins)

North End in dreamland... Michael Smith's first goal for the club.

Tigers keeper Ivor Pandur dawdles on the ball, which is never a good idea, and then clears straight to Ben Whiteman who squares to Smith to bend the ball around a defender from just outside the box and and to the left of the unsighted keeper who is left flat-footed.

So avoidable from the hosts, but Preston are oozing confidence now.

  13. Postpublished at 19:57 BST

    Blackburn 0-0 Swansea

Ben Cabango is up from the back and getting on the end of a knockdown in the six-yard box.

He puts his foot through it but the ball comes back off the upright. The outside flag spares his blushes, so wouldn't have counted anyway.

  14. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 1-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 19:55 BST

    Jay Stansfield (9 mins)

    Guess who?

It's his first goal in six games, but you wouldn't know it from the way he finished it.

Some nice interplay outside the Owls box ends with Jay Stansfield's challenge with a defender on the edge of the box looping up and dropping to him in space on the right of the box to apply a fine first-time finish from an acute angle which flies past Ethan Horvath and inside the far post.

That's four for the season for Stansfield.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 19:55 BST

    Leicester 0-0 Wrexham

Bobby De Cordova-Reid goes closest of anyone yet.

Some neat inter-play ends at the forward's feet. He shows some quick feet before beating Arthur Okonkwo. But it doesn't bend enough to avoid the outside of the post.

  16. Postpublished at 19:55 BST

    Bristol City 0-0 Ipswich

Jack Clarke has a dip at goal but it's always rising for the visitors.

A quiet start to this one.

  17. 'It's interesting'published at 19:54 BST

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Stoke

    Mark Drury
    BBC Tees commentator

There seems to be something early on that Rob Edwards has spotted because Sammy Silvera is coming on for the injured George Edmundson, it looks like he's going into right back.

If you've got Dael Fry on the bench it's interesting that he's gone for Silvera.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:54 BST

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Stoke

Early blow for Rob Edwards as George Edmundson limps off inside seven minutes with what looks a hamstring pull, with Sammy Silvera coming on for Boro.

Hayden Hackney has driven forward and drawn a good save down to his left from Viktor Johansson with a 20-yard strike.

    Lively start.

  19. Postpublished at 19:53 BST

    Leicester 0-0 Wrexham

Phil Parkinson might have been given the freedom of Wrexham this week, but at the King Power Stadium, Jordan James has all the space he wants.

He powers down the middle, leaving defenders in his wake but scuffs his shot wide.

At the other end, Issa Kabore crosses for Kieffer Moore. The striker controls and steadies himself before firing across the face of goal.

  20. Postpublished at 19:50 BST

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Southampton

A Finn Azaz shot is the first effort on goal but the Southampton man's effort is well over the bar.

He's still looking for his first goal in a Saints shirt.
