Approaching the hour mark and this potential banana skin has been comfortable for Manchester City so far.

Will Pep Guardiola give Rodri some minutes before the end of the game?

The Spanish boss said he has been waiting on the doctor to advise when the Ballon d'Or holder can return to action.

Palace might be cruising and the match a celebration of their success but manager Oliver Glasner is still animated in his technical area.

He just took his coat off as he got so frustrated with one of his players who did something he did not like.

Brooks' long right limb just can't get on the end of that. He's not far away.

That's a really difficult ball to defend for the City back line.

    Man City 2-0 Bournemouth

    Chris Sutton

Bournemouth have been stuck all evening. There's no fluency or pattern to their play. They just punt it down the pitch and it's easily mopped up by Man City.

Decent pass from Milos Kerkez from the left-hand side but it's too far ahead of David Brooks and Antoine Semenyo can't keep it in at the back post either.

This is not a first XI for Palace, but the supposed understudies are staking their claim tonight after the heroics of Saturday. One thing Palace will need in Europe next season is depth, and a squad that will perform well under rotation. This is a cup winning squad now, and they are full of confidence, but Palace must continue to recruit wisely, develop talent, and make sure the wider squad is of a high standard, if they are to push on.

Great to see Rodri back on the Man City bench. I want to see the best players fit and firing.
