    Luke McNally (62 mins)

This goal won't win any beauty contests but it's a big, big moment for Bristol City!

Sunderland struggle to clear a cross at their near post, there's a game of pinball inside the area and the ball pops up at the feet of Luke McNally, who finishes calmly into the top of the net.

Are City about to inflict a first home league defeat of the season on Sunderland?

  2. Postpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Plymouth 0-2 Swansea

Wayne Rooney has reacted to that second Swansea goal by sending on striker Michael Obafemi from the Plymouth bench.

Obafemi is a former Swansea player, of course.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Burnley 0-0 Derby

James Trafford saves from Derby striker Jerry YatesImage source, PA Media

Derby's Jerry Yates sends in the Rams first shot at goal but Burnley keeper James Trafford denies it from being a costly one as he palms it away.

Yates gets a foot on the rebound but can only ripple the side netting.

Much better from the visitors though.

  4. Postpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Luton 1-1 Stoke

The Hatters have picked up where they left off in this second half but it's the visitors who have created the best chance so far.

Million Manhoef's first-time pass finds Lewis Koumas on the right-hand side.

He smashes a swirling shot at the Luton goal and draws a fingertip save from Thomas Kaminski.

Darts champion, and Leeds fan, Luke HumphriesImage source, PA Media

December is of course massive for football and even more so in the world of darts.

The World Championship starts at Alexandra Palace on Sunday night, with Luke Humphries defending his title.

But despite having his first match in five days, he is here at Elland Road to cheer on his team, Leeds.

Will 2025 be a year for both Humphries and the Whites to celebrate?

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

We're back under way at the later game at Elland Road.

Swansea double their lead as Liam Cullen steals in at the back post to turn home a cross from the right from close range.

The Welsh side are heading into the top half of the Championship as it stands.

Is there any way back for struggling Plymouth?

  8. 'Manning switches causing Sunderland problems'published at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

    Nick Barnes
    BBC Newcastle's Sunderland commentator

Liam Manning has switched things around for Bristol City and are marking life very hard for Sunderland.

  9. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Blackburn

Blackburn's start to the second half has fizzled and now it's looking like the Owls who want to take charge.

Todd Cantwell going to ground won't help matters.

The forward has shown real promise as he builds back his fitness after leaving Rangers this summer but his night could end up being cut short.

  10. Postpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Burnley 0-0 Derby

Derby have put in a good shift to keep their clean sheet so far but they start the second half with some confusion at the back.

It gives Burnley's Zian Flemming the opportunity to snatch a lead for his side but Rams keeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is there to bail his defenders out of trouble.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Portsmouth 0-0 Norwich

The ball is in the net for the hosts but it won't count.

Pompey win a corner and Freddie Potts puts the inswinger right on top of the goalkeeper.

Angus Gunn palms it away straight to Connor Ogilvie, whose volleyed finish goes over the Norwich keeper and into the corner.

But the referee's whistle had already been blown for a foul on Gunn.

A decent start to the second half by Pompey.

  12. 'Carrick will be disappointed'published at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    HT: Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough manager Michael CarrickImage source, PA Media

Michael Carrick will be disappointed with his side and with the way they have moved the ball.

If Boro are to get back into this game they have to do better.

You can't blame any individual because this is a team game but you can't say anyone has done well and some talking has to be done at half-time.

You need a massive tempo in the second half because if you play with the same tempo as the first then you are going to get swept away.

  13. Postpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Portsmouth 0-0 Norwich

We've not seen too much of Borja Sainz in the opening 45 minutes but he's involved early in the second half as he gets on the end of a long ball and forces the save from Nicolas Schmid, low to the goalkeeper's left.

Sainz is the league's top scorer with 15 goals, Canaries fans would love to see him add a 16th and set them up for a much-needed three points in the race for the play-offs.

  14. 'Leeds have been well on top'published at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    HT: Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

Brenden Aaronson has been good but his finishing has been poor. He didn't have his whereabouts about him with that chance before half-time.

Middlesbrough have had little moments where they have been good and have had breaks but Leeds have played well and played the better football.

Tanaka and Rothwell have been good in the middle.

As it's gone on the midfield three of Boro have grown into the game but Leeds have been well on top.

  15. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

Visitors Bristol City have made a double change at half-time, with Sam Bell and West Ham loanee George Earthy on for Yu Hirakawa and Max Bird.

  16. Boro happy to be just one downpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    HT: Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Adam Lanigan

Leeds goalscorer Willy Gnonto celebrates with team-matesImage source, PA Media

Chances for both Brenden Aaronson and Willy Gnonto in the last few minutes of the half to add to Gnonto's earlier strike.

Boro will be happy to get to the break just one down.

They will have to show more as an attacking threat in the second half, though.

But this crowd can get nervy so Daniel Farke will be drilling into his players the importance of that second goal.

Still all to play for in the next 45 minutes.

  17. Postpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Plymouth 0-1 Swansea

Should the score stay the same at Fratton Park between Portsmouth and Norwich, a point will be enough to lift Wayne Rooney's Plymouth out of the bottom three.

They hit the post in the first half - and remember they scored a stoppage-time equaliser in their most recent home fixture against Watford a couple of weeks ago.

  18. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Blackburn

The team talk at half time has Rovers energised.

They work the ball into the final third and when it reaches Tyrhys Dolan, he unleashes a strike from the centre of the box.

He hasn't looked up though and his shot is aimed straight at Wednesday keeper James Beadle, who manages to collect.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Portsmouth 0-0 Norwich

Back up and running at Fratton Park and John Mousinho has made a half-time change, with Regan Poole replaced by Tom McIntyre.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

Joe Rothwell swings in a free kick for Leeds and Boro centre-back George Edmundson gets his head on it to flick it behind for a corner - just wide of his own goal.

The corner is headed away and that is half-time.

Leeds with the advantage after Willy Gnonto's early goal.
