    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

A big chance for Brenden Aaronson as he finds himself in space in the box.

Ao Tanaka's cross-field ball is nodded down by Sam Byram.

Matthew Clarke looks like he's going to deal with it but he misses and Dan James leaves it to Aaronson, who blazes over.

Leeds finishing the half strongly as Willy Gnonto takes on a strike from distance and draws a save from Seny Dieng.

Moments earlier a Boro break ends with Ben Doak cutting in and having a shot blocked from the right. End to end.

  3. Postpublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Lovely football from Leeds.

They move the ball with such fluidity and in Dan James they have winger with lightning pace.

Mateo Joseph plays the ball back to Brenden Aaronson and the US international plays it through for James to charge in on goal.

But there's just too much on it and Seny Dieng is quick enough of his line to beat the Welshman to the ball.

    All Leeds at the moment.

  4. 'City will be happy at 0-0'published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    HT: Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

Bristol City will be happy that it is 0-0 at half-time and Liam Manning be happy with the way that his side have defended but not so much going forward with one shot on target.

Sinclair Armstrong has got into positions but he'll want to see an improvement in his end product.

  5. Postpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

Boro having more of the ball but yet to really carve out any real chances, and that's freeing up the space for Leeds to get forward themselves.

Dan James on the right and then Max Wober on the left have both just been put in behind and sent crosses in, with the Middlesbrough defence getting the ball away.

  6. 'Sunderland have go to be more ruthless'published at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    HT: Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

    Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

We're talking about half-chances but Sunderland need to get on the end of things and score. There has been times when you're thinking 'go on then'.

We've got to be ruthless and have that belief that we're going to get on the end of things and score.

  7. James in both boxespublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Adam Lanigan
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

A first little glimmer of space for Ben Doak down the Middlesbrough wing for the on-loan Liverpool player to attack.

But as he gets into the box, who is there to dispossess him but Leeds' Wales winger Dan James.

His cross provided Willy Gnonto's goal, but that contribution is equally valuable.

And it's acknowledged as such by the Elland Road crowd.

Modern-day wingers can't simply only play in the opposition half, can they?

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Blackburn

It's been an intriguing contest so far with both sides hitting the bar but neither able to find the net as yet.

Will anyone be able to opening the scoring in the second half or will the chances keep heading adrift?

    Burnley 0-0 Derby

Burnley's Jeremy Sarmiento is challenge by Derby defender Nat PhillipsImage source, PA Media

Derby go into the break happy with how they've kept promotion-contenders Burnley at bay away from home but having not registered a single shot on target, could one goal be all that's needed?

Sunderland have had the better of the first half against Bristol City but it's goalless at the break.

There are boos from the home supporters as the officials leave the field, presumably unhappy at that penalty appeal that did not go Sunderland's way just before the interval.

    Portsmouth 0-0 Norwich

No goals to separate these two teams but you'd think John Mousinho would be the happier of the two managers.

Norwich have had just the one shot in the first half to Pompey's seven, but the home side are yet to hit the target.

  13. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

Leeds win a free kick just outside the area after Hayden Hackney fouls Brenden Aaronson.

It's perfectly placed for a left-footer and Max Wober, who scored at the weekend, fires into the wall before his follow-up is charged down by the Boro defenders.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

And that Swansea goal is almost the final action of the first half at Home Park.

Wayne Rooney walks down the touchline, hands in the pockets of his black coat, as he contemplates how he is going to help his Plymouth team avoid a third successive Championship loss.

Swansea strike first just before half-time at Home Park.

Plymouth defender Brendan Galloway can't properly clear a cross from the left wing and his touch lands perfectly into the path of Jay Fulton, who strokes the ball home from about 12 yards.

A super finish and Swansea lead.

Blackburn's Lewis Travis is challenged by Sheffield Wednesday's Barry BannanImage source, PA Media

After withstanding some pressure from the Owls, Blackburn are keen to apply some of their own.

Captain Lewis Travis sees a corner kick land at his feet and takes aim but his strike ends up bouncing of the underside of the bar.

The ball then goes traversing to the other end with Wednesday earning their own corner but Yan Valery suffers the same fate as his opposition.

He hits the woodwork with his header towards the back post and both sides curse their luck.

  18. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Leeds 1-0 Middlesbrough

The home side have looked very good for their lead at Elland Road but Boro just showing a few signs they could get back in it.

Riley McGree went down in the area with appeals for a penalty for the visitors, before Finn Azaz show wide from the edge of the box.

But on the whole the home side are on top and the Reds haven't yet shown the free-flowing football we've seen so often from them this season.

  19. Postpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

Mmm, shouts for a Sunderland penalty are turned away by the referee.

Yu Hirakawa makes a mess of controlling a ball into the Bristol City box and gets in a tangle with Aji Alese, but Sunderland's appeals are rejected.

  20. 'A defensive performance from City so far'published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2024

    Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

Bristol City have been braver and stronger now.

But can they add something at the top end of the pitch?

As the half has gone on it's been more of a defensive performance from City. Sunderland have had more of the possession and are trying to find the wide areas.
