  1. 'Onana very close to a red'published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Everton 0-1 Aston Villa

    Marc Albrighton
Former Aston Villa and Leicester midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Amadou Onana is very lucky there. He is treading a very fine line now having already been booked.

He put his hands on the back of Orel Mangala. Very close to a red.

  2. Postpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Everton 0-1 Aston Villa

Villa's Amadou Onana, booked in the eighth minute, is living dangerously. He concedes another foul but does not see red. Everton keeper Jordan Pickford then talks himself into a booking arguing the case.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Newcastle 1-0 Wolves

Newcastle turn defence into attack quickly as the ball is worked to Anthony Gordon on the left side of the box. He looks set to make it 2-0 but Santiago Bueno slides in at just the right time to block the shot.

Goodness me, corners literally are all Arsenal have aren’t they?

  5. Postpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

A replay shows it shouldn't have been a corner because the cross took a double ricochet and hit Leandro Trossard last.

First shot on target = first goal.

Ismaïla Sarr wins the ball well in midfield and slips in Jean-Philippe Mateta. He uses his strength to guard the ball and round Jakub Stolarczyk before prodding into an open goal.

You have all seen it before. We have seen it many of times before.

The keeper, Kinsky has come for it and got nothing on it.

Where are the Ollie haters now?

  10. 'Goal all about Rogers' pass'published at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Everton 0-1 Aston Villa

    Marc Albrighton
Former Aston Villa and Leicester midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

This goal is all about the pass from Morgan Rogers to Ollie Watkins.

He gets it as close to James Tarkowski as possible in a central position for Watkins to run on to. Watkins missed one in the first half, but he wasn't going to miss a second.

  11. goal

GOAL - Arsenal 1-1 Tottenhampublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

Dominic Solanke own goal (40 mins)

Gabriel of Arsenal celebratesImage source, Getty Images

You'll never guess how this goal came...

Declan Rice swings in a corner which Antonin Kinsky comes for and can't reach and Gabriel nods in at the back post - it hits Dominic Solanke on the way in.

Clinical from Ollie Watkins on this occasion. You can't keep presenting gifts to players of his calibre in front of goal.

Now then Mr Moyes, what have you got up your sleeve?

  13. Postpublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham

Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly wins the ball off Pape Sarr - and leaves the midfielder on the turf - to stop a dangerous attack and the home fans enjoy that.

  14. Postpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Newcastle 1-0 Wolves

Matheus Cunha is straight into the action as he tests Martin Dubravka with a decent strike from the edge of the box.

There's plenty of power in the effort but it is too close to the Newcastle goalkeeper.

  15. goal

GOAL - Everton 0-1 Aston Villapublished at 51 mins

    Ollie Watkins

Villa lead and are on course to wreck David Moyes' first game back at Everton.

Morgan Rogers is the creator, he runs at the Toffees defence and the pass is perfectly weighted for Ollie Watkins to hit it first time, side-footed past Jordan Pickford and into the net.

  16. Postpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Leicester 0-0 Crystal Palace

A win for Leicester drags them out of the relegation zone. What an incentive to have.

  17. Postpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

At the moment Arsenal have control and they've slowed it down.

There's a bit of a grumble against Raheem Sterling as he's not gone past his opposing player when he has half a chance.

  18. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham

For all Arsenal's early dominance they only had two shots and none on target. Tottenham have had two, both on target.

  19. 'More of a half chance for Ramsey'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Everton 0-0 Aston Villa

    Marc Albrighton
Former Aston Villa and Leicester midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

That was more of a half chance for Jacob Ramsey. He was on the swivel and could only guide it wide of the far post. He does have a knack of getting into some good positions for those sorts of chances.

I respect Sterling but he’s no longer got the pace nor the guile and attacks just fizzle out when he’s on the ball. Martinelli must be a better option. Bring him on at half time.
