A good start to the game. It has been quite frantic. Plenty of tackles going in and a few chances so far for Villa.

Everton are stretched again as Villa break at pace. Ollie Watkins leads the charge, slides a pass to Youri Tielemans and the Belgian strikes at goal, only for an excellent block from Toffees skipper James Tarkowski, who flings himself in front of the ball.

Villa's Amadou Onana is then booked only eight minutes in for bringing down Idrissa Gueye.

Leicester are enjoying the majority of the ball as they probe at this Palace defence. There's nothing much going on in front of goal, though.

Another effort from 20-25 yards out from Aston Villa. Again it is ex-Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, and again his shot goes wide of goal.

Everton can't keep allowing these shots to come in though, it has been all Villa.

Wolves may have started well but it is Newcastle who have the first real chance.

The hosts' forward line links up well before Jacob Murphy has a crack at goal from the edge of the box but his curled effort is pushed away by Jose Sa.

It was a bit of tenacious play from the Villa midfield before the ball broke to Morgan Rogers and he really caught his shot well. A good save from Jordan Pickford.

A bright start from Aston Villa and Morgan Rogers lets fly from the edge of the penalty area, but Jordan Pickford, at full stretch to his left, gets down quickly to push it away.

Amadou Onana makes a purposeful run at the Everton defence and strikes at goal 25 yards out. It takes a huge deflection off James Tarkowski, but spins away for a corner, which the hosts can comfortably clear.

End-to-end at the King Power in the opening stages as Jean-Philippe Mateta is through on goal but his effort is kept out by Jakub Stolarczyk. Doesn't matter anyway, Mateta was miles offside.

Newcastle are looking to make it an incredible nine straight wins tonight. They have had some early defending to do with Wolves making a positive start.

Good intent from Leicester in the early stages with Daniel Munoz having the ball taken off his toe on the edge of the Palace box but Jamie Vardy can't work Dean Henderson.
