    Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at St Mary's

Southampton have continued to play some nice football in this second half.

Flynn Downes, Kyle Walker-Peters and Mateus Fernandes have combined on a number of occasions down the right, resulting in one of them breaking free and sometimes creating a chance on goal.

As we approach the hour mark Palace made a trio of switches in an attempt to get something going.

The travelling fans continue to sing about Wembley over in the far corner and urge on their side as the substitutes come on.

The home fans are now in full voice, 30 minutes to go.

  2. Double frustration for Brightonpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 2 April

    Brighton 0-1 Aston Villa

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Amex Stadium

Brighton fans are furious but that did look like handball by Kaoru Mitoma in the build-up to Simon Adingra's finish.

Add that to the manner in which they were caught on the break for Marcus Rashford's goal and it is no wonder Fabian Hurzerler looks so frustrated.

  3. VAR

    Bournemouth 0-2 Ipswich

VAR has deemed the contact to be outside of the box and the penalty is now a free-kick.

    Let off for Ipswich.

Instant response from the home side as Antoine Semenyo is brought down inside the box by Axel Tuanzebe and referee Rob Jones didn't hesitate in pointing to the spot

VAR is taking a look at this one though...

  6. Postpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 2 April

    Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

Southampton fans in good voice as the tackles go flying in. I wonder how many Saints supporters are sitting at home thinking 'maybe I should have gone today after all'.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 2 April

    Man City 2-0 Leicester

    More changes.

Facundo Buonanotte and Caleb Okoli are on for Bilal El Khannouss and Victor Kristiansen.

  8. Postpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 2 April

    Man City 2-0 Leicester

Almost a third for Manchester City and a second for Omar Marmoush.

City up the tempo and pass it round in tight areas brilliantly, Jeremy Doku shifts across for the Egyptian but it's a tricky angle and he blasts over the bar.

  9. goal

GOAL - Bournemouth 0-2 Ipswichpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 2 April

This reminds me of Liverpool v Wimbledon in 1988. One team playing football the other playing hoof ball. Why wasn't Tarkowski given a red?

    David

I get all the comments about being 'rough', Liverpool 'too soft' etc. But just apply the rules, that's all. Everyone can cope with that!

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 2 April

    Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

Palace send on Eddie Nketiah, Daichi Kamada and Ben Chilwell for Tyrick Mitchell, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Nathaniel Clyne.

  13. 'It could have been a leg breaker'published at 20:59 British Summer Time 2 April

    HT: Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    Duncan Ferguson
Former Everton striker on Sky Sports

There is no argument. Straight red. Back in the day, you might have got away with that.

That could have been a leg breaker but that is a straight red all day long. He should have given the decision on the field but that is a straight red. Terrible decision.

  14. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 2 April

    Brighton 1-1 Aston Villa

Stuart Attwell is being sent over to the screen to take a look at this one.

  15. 'For that to not be given in real time or on VAR is shocking'published at 20:59 British Summer Time 2 April

    HT: Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    Jamie Carragher
Former Liverpool defender on Sky Sports

In terms of the referee, he is in brilliant position. He has to see that. It is a shocking tackle and there should be no debate.

It is an awful tackle. He knows what he is doing. Tarkowski has got previous as well, against Everton for Burnley.

The referee not giving it is bad but for Paul Tierney not to give that on VAR is shocking.

  16. Postpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 2 April

    Newcastle 1-0 Brentford

    Woops.

Brentford whip the ball towards goal and Nick Pope should catch it easily but sort of half palms it away and the Bees eventually win a corner.

  17. goal

GOAL - Brighton 1-1 Aston Villapublished at 20:57 British Summer Time 2 April

    Simon Adingra

    Immediate response!

Kaoru Mitoma knocks the ball across the face of goal with what looks like his bicep. Emi Martinez spills his attempts at gathering and Simon Adingra smashes it home.

    VAR will check this...

Liam Delap tries to power his way through the Bournemouth defence but Illia Zabarnyi was having none of it with one of the hardest shoulder barges I've seen!

We are lucky to be level at half-time. Lots of possession, but creating little and getting marmalised on the counter.

    Andrew, Reds fan

Man, I fear for this Liverpool team for next season. Without Salah, Trent and Virgil they might not even get top four!
