After their 3-3 draw against Feyenoord, Manchester City are now 15th in the Champions League table.

City are on eight points after five matches, they have won two, drawn two and lost one so far in the league.

They could be the lowest British club, in the league, if Celtic win against Club Brugge tonight.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola turned up for his post-match press conference with a cut on his nose and scratches on his head.

Guardiola had a cut on his nose before the game, although it seemed to be healing, but there was nothing on his head as the picture below shows.

He said he cut himself with a long fingernail.

If City were facing a Klopp-managed Liverpool this weekend, I think they would be feeling terror right now. They would be blown away. This Slot team will probably win, but they will leave it narrow enough that City can snatch a share of the points. That's the difference between Klopp and Slot.

  6. Gundogan has 'no answers' to City slumppublished at 09:20 Greenwich Mean Time

    Man City 3-3 Feyenoord

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter

After five straight defeats, Manchester City found a way last night to end that run, while feeling like it had continued.

The 3-3 draw with Feyenoord must feel like another defeat given City were 3-0 up with 15 minutes to go, before throwing the game away in spectacular style.

Amazingly City are now 15th in the Champions League table and likely to drop further given half the matches are tonight.

    Ilkay Gundogan was stunned.

"So quickly after the game I don't have the answers," he said.

"The goals we conceded are inexplicable, in terms of the way we conceded them.

"There is only ourselves to blame. The situation, I don't know, the way things are going right now, it is a bit inexplicable."

[Manchester City] look weak, they look light, they look frail.

Even with two minutes to go and 3-2 up, they take a quick free-kick. Why? Kill the game. They were in such a comfortable position.

Pep Guardiola said his Manchester City side were "fragile", while they were also labelled "weak" and "frail" after surrendering a 3-0 Champions League lead against Feyenoord at Etihad Stadium.

Instead of heading to Liverpool on the back of a morale-boosting win, the defending Premier League champions face their title rivals at Anfield on Sunday with more questions about their defending after having to settle for a 3-3 draw.

"I don't know if it is a mental thing," said Guardiola, who became so frustrated with his side's performance that he scratched his own face.

"The game was fine at 3-0, playing good, but then we concede a lot of goals because we were not stable. We gave them the first and then the other one, that is why it was difficult.

"The situation is what it is. We played a good game but at that level we can't give them away."

Robert Lewandowski became the third player to score 100 Champions League goals as Barcelona overcame Brest in a dominant display.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo with 141 and Lionel Messi with 129 have scored more times than the 36-year-old in Europe's elite competition.

Lewandowski's 100th goal came from the penalty spot in the 10th minute after Brest goalkeeper Marco Bizot crashed into the back of the Poland striker.

Barcelona have moved up to second in the league phase table after winning four of their five matches, while Brest slip to eighth.

Inter Milan won their fourth Champions League game in a row with a narrow victory over winless RB Leipzig.

The victory sees Inter sit a point clear at the top of the Champions League table. Only Liverpool and Monaco can overtake them on Wednesday night, should they win their matches.

The Nerazzurri scored the winner in the 27th minute as Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba turned Federico Dimarco's free-kick into his own goal.

Charles de Ketelaere scored twice and provided three assists as Atalanta ran out 6-1 winners away at Swiss side Young Boys in the Champions League.

Last season’s Europa League winners continue to thrive in Europe's top tier this season, with the victory in Bern leaving them in fourth place in the table, unbeaten after five games.

A fifth defeat from five games for hosts Young Boys leaves them pointless and rock bottom of the standings in their worst ever performance in a Champions League campaign.

Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen cruised past Red Bull Salzburg to seal their third Champions League win of the season.

Florian Wirtz gave the home side an early lead from the penalty spot after the ball had struck Samson Baidoo on the elbow inside the area.

It was 2-0 just three minutes later, Alejandro Grimaldo curling a magnificent free-kick over the wall and into the net following Lucas Gourna-Douath’s foul on Wirtz.

The game was all but over as a contest on the half-hour mark, when Wirtz combined well with Grimaldo before sending a right-footed shot beyond goalkeeper Alexander Schlager.

Julian Alvarez's double inspired Atletico Madrid to a thumping Champions League win at Sparta Prague.

Diego Simeone's side started the match in 23rd spot in the league table - just inside the play-off places - and looking to record consecutive European wins having beaten Paris St-Germain in their most recent fixture.

This was the first competitive meeting between Sparta and Atletico - and it was ignited in the first half by former Manchester City forward Alvarez, who bent a superb free-kick into the top corner.

Jude Bellingham: Real Madrid star says he felt like a scapegoat after the Euros

Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham says he has got his smile back after "feeling a bit like the scapegoat" for England's failure to win Euro 2024 in the summer.

Bellingham scored England's first goal of the tournament in a 1-0 victory against Serbia, before scoring a 95th-minute overhead-kick equaliser against Slovakia to save Gareth Southgate's side from elimination in the last 16.

England were eventually defeated 2-1 by Spain as they lost their second European Championship final in three years.

"I lost my smile a lot playing for England after the Euros as I felt I was a little mistreated compared to what I contributed," Bellingham said before Real Madrid's Champions League meeting with Liverpool.

    "[The] smile is back [now].
