Well the sun is shining at least, but Aston Villa fans would be forgiven this morning for feeling a little gloomy after Unai Emery's side became the final English side to be knocked out of European competition this season.

Villa lost 2-0 at Olympiakos in the second leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final in Athens as they fell to a comprehensive 6-2 defeat on aggregate. Their Greek tormentors will now be heading back to Athens for a final against Fiorentina, who beat Club Bruges in their semi-final.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen came from 2-0 down at home to Roma to draw 2-2, reaching the final of the Europa League with a 4-2 victory on aggregate.

Xabi Alonso's Bundesliga champions set a new European record in the process as they made it 49 games unbeaten, thanks to a 97th-minute equaliser from Josip Stanisic.

They will face Atalanta in Dublin in the final after the Italian side beat Marseille 4-1 on aggregate.

We will bring you all the news and reaction from those games before wading into today's Premier League news conferences.
