    What an outstanding finish.

Again Chelsea work the short free kick. No-one is marking Cole Palmer, one touch and then an outstanding finish.

You cannot give a player with that much quality that amount of space.

That is a terrible red card decision against Cairney.

    Dominic

Games gone. How is that a red card for Cairney? Roy Keane and Patrick Viera would get sent off every week if they played in today's game. Absolute shocker from VAR. Refereeing is an absolute shambles this season.

  3. 'Cairney isn't reckless or out of control'published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2024

    Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Andy Reid
Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live Online

I think it's a booking. I don't think it meets the threshold for a sending off.

I don't think Tom Cairney is reckless or out of control. For me, it's a yellow.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2024

    Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

It's all going on. Fulham want to make changes, and Marco Silva hauls his whole team over for some tactical advice. Bernd Leno then goes down to allow the changes to take place.

Timothy Castagne and Ryan Sessegnon come on for Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe for the visitors.

Spurs also bring on Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall for James Maddison and Pape Sarr.

They'll be dancing on the streets of St Kitts!

Ross Barkley trips Cole Palmer and Chelsea have a free-kick about 30 yards out. It's played out wide to Noni Madueke before the ball lands back at the feet of Palmer on the edge of the box.

He lets fly and Robin Olsen is beaten for power and pace.

Palmer, who has the flag of St Kitts stitched into his boots in honour of his grandfather who is from the island, turns away in celebration.

    Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa

Villa are about 10 minutes away from a fifth league game without a win. The last time they experienced this sort of form was under Steven Gerrard.

They've managed two attempts on target at Stamford Bridge but they've been a distant second best.

  8. RED CARDpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2024

Unsurprisingly, Tom Cairney is now shown a straight red card.

He can't believe it. He's stood there in disbelief.

How good is Moises Caicedo. He may have had a bit of a slow start (and cost a lot of money) but he’s got to be right up there with the best.

Amad is a sensation. Amorim must surely be pointing at him and telling the other players that his application is the bare minimum. It's about time someone did.
