Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (19:30 GMT)

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the City Ground

It is a pivotal night at the City Ground with Arsenal desperate to cling on to their title hopes and Nottingham Forest looking to avoid a prolonged wobble which could harm their Champions League dream.

Victory for the hosts - who have lost their last two - would move them three points behind the second placed Gunners and it would be another damaging blow to Mikel Areta's side, already 11 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Arteta said Arsenal would concede the title "over my dead body" this week but they need vast improvement following Saturday's meek defeat to West Ham.

Could be a difficult evening for Spurs without their main centre-backs. Haaland and co. won’t miss the chances like Ipswich, hope I’m wrong.

  4. Who gets in Europe?published at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

There will be at least seven English teams playing in Europe next season, although that figure could rise to 11. However, that latter scenario is unlikely and would require Premier League sides winning every European competition in 2024-25 with certain teams finishing outside the top five.

Normally the top four go into the Champions League, with the fifth-placed side going into the Europa League. However, the Premier League is currently on course to earn one of two extra Champions League spots, meaning a top-five finish would be enough.

But if English sides win both the Champions League and Europa League (and they do not finish in the top five) that could mean seven Premier League teams would be in Europe's top club competition.

In normal circumstances, two English sides will be in the Europa League, but that will rise to three if Chelsea win the Conference League (and finish outside the top five), with another team from England then going into the Conference League.

So, for arguments sake, let's say no English team wins a European competition, but the Premier League gets an additional Champions League spot.

Then, as it stands, this is who would be playing in Europe next season.

Champions League: 1. Liverpool, 2. Arsenal, 3. Nottingham Forest, 4. Chelsea, 5. Manchester City.

Europa League: 6. Newcastle, 7. Bournemouth.

    Conference League: 8. Brighton.

(If a team from outside the top seven wins the FA Cup, they would go into the Europa League, Bournemouth would drop into the Conference League with Brighton missing out).

Brentford boss Thomas Frank makes one change to the side that thrashed Leicester City 4-0 last week.

Brentford XI: Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnok, Lewis-Potter; Janelt, Yarmoliuk; Schade, Damsgaard, Mbuemo; Wissa.

Subs: Valdimarsson, Carvalho, Mee, Konak, Maghoma, Kayode, Kim, Morgan.

Everton manager David Moyes also makes just one change to the starting line-up from Saturday's dramatic 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Goodison Park.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is not in the matchday squad, so in comes Carlos Alcaraz as Beto, who will look to score for the fifth game running, starts up front for the visitors.

Everton XI: Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; Alcaraz, Lindstrom, Harrison; Beto.

Subs: Virginia, Begovic, Patterson, Keane, Chermiti, Young, Iroegbunam, Sherif.

  9. Haaland starts - team news on the waypublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

Team news for the 19:30 GMT games are on the way but arguably the biggest news is Erling Haaland STARTS for Manchester City.

  10. Memories of an Old Trafford humiliationpublished at 18:14 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

Manchester United v Ipswich Town (19:30 GMT)

Nearly 30 years ago, Ipswich Town played a top-flight game at Manchester United. It didn't go well.

On 4 March, 1995, United crushed Ipswich 9-0, with Andrew Cole scoring five of them, Mark Hughes got a double and Paul Ince and Roy Keane grabbed one apiece.

It was the biggest win in the competition since the top division was rebranded as the Premier League in 1992 and, although it has been matched on a few occasions, no-one has won by a bigger margin in the meantime.

United fans won't be expecting another nine goals tonight, while Ipswich supporters hope it's not another Old Trafford nightmare.

  13. How it standspublished at 18:03 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

There are only five points separating Nottingham Forest in third and Aston Villa in 10th. Wolves yesterday missed a chance to pull further clear of the relegation zone and Ipswich and Leicester can close that gap to two points.

Ipswich face Manchester United today, with Leicester at West Ham on Thursday. Liverpool will be somewhere between 14 and eight points clear at the top by the end of the night.

At the weekend many people crowned Liverpool champions elect after they moved 11 points clear at the top.

But nobody around Anfield will be getting carried away as they play Newcastle tonight - while third play second with Nottingham Forest v Arsenal.

There is a battle of the big six clubs who would want to be a lot higher in the table with Tottenham v Manchester City.

Manchester United host relegation rivals Ipswich down towards the bottom of the table.

    Brentford are playing Everton too.
