  1. 'Goals conceded were poor'published at 22:38 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    FT: Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle full-back Lewis Hall speaking to TNT Sports:

"Straight after the game it's hard to put your finger on what went wrong but I can't fault the work ethic of any of the players of this team. We will always give 100% but the goals we conceded were poor from our perspective. Apart from that we did well against a top side."

On goals: "I felt like in the box there were a few too many spare players but that's my initial reaction but I'll have to have a look at it.

"We did have chances in the game, a couple early on in the first half which if we put those away we change the outlook of the game. We're happy with the physical output and they're a top side. When you get chances you have to bury them and we didn't do that tonight."

On Brighton in FA Cup next: "We know on our day we can beat anyone but it's a game we're looking to win to progress to the next round."

  2. 'We could've lost today but credit to Flekken'published at 22:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    FT: Brentford 1-1 Everton

    Brentford

Brentford goalscorer Yoane Wissa speaking to TNT Sports: "Disappointing! Especially after leading 1-0. We should give big credit to Mark [Flekken] because we got the draw with three one-on-ones for Beto and he saved it. We could have lost today but we didn't. That's the most important thing."

On his goal: "I always want to score and help the team. I wanted more but I was offside. It's a bit disappointing today."

On their prospects this season: "The most important thing is to win every game. we are aiming definitely for top 10 but we can go higher. But if we want to do that, we need to get the results."

Joshua Worrall: Bit disappointed that Everton couldn’t turn 1 point into 3 - defensively very poor at times including for their goal. Responded well second half but felt the lack of squad depth caught up with them in the end. Moyes down to bare bones with limited options on bench

  4. 'I want to be a manager who competes for Europe'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    FT: Brentford 1-1 Everton

    Everton

Everton manager David Moyes speaking to TNT Sports: "I am happy with that because I have never had a good record here. Thomas Frank is a good manager. I thought we were at least worthy of a point today. Beto had three one-one ones with the goalkeeper and we did not score any of them

"I was really disappointed with the players at half-time because we concede from a set-piece that way. We try to prepare for it but did not deal with it very well.

"The game was really slow in the first half. I thought it suited us. We had the best chances with Beto through on goal. In the second half, we saw a lot more of the ball and we were the bigger threat in the second."

On upturn in the club's form: "I don't really want to be someone who comes in to save the club from relegation. I want to be a manager who competes for Europe like I have been in three years prior to this. But let's be honest Everton were in a terrible position. We are looking up rather down. We have been disappointed with getting a draw tonight and should have picked up more on Saturday."

  5. 'Probably a fair result'published at 22:30 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    FT: Brentford 1-1 Everton

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank speaking to TNT Sports: "I think it's probably a fair result. We played a fairly good game but we lacked that cutting edge to make it 2-0. We controlled Everton really well. I don't think they had anything - except for the three one-on-ones. I know this might sound a bit crazy. But the first one was a Ethan [Pinnock] slip and the other one was a big mistake from us. So with that in mind, it was a fair result."

On goalkeeper Mark Flekken's performance: "He has been fantastic in many, many ways this season and that was three big saves."

On their home form: "Premier League is so even and so tight. It's very difficult."

  6. 'We dominated in all areas'published at 22:29 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    FT: Tottenham 0-1 Man City

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"First half we had to hang in there, created a couple chances but we were wasteful with the ball. Second half we dominated in all areas but missed a goal to get something out of the game.

"We always knew we would finish strong, we always do, but in the first half we turned the ball over too many times, if you do that against city you allow them to get into a rhythm.

"Some cleaner final third entries we could have had some more chances.

On Tottenham struggling to contain Jeremy Doku in the first half

"When you turn the ball over like we did in the first half you allow them to hit those spaces. After that first half I thought we handled Doku well."

On why Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Djed Spence started on the bench:

"It was about trying to get our squad up and running again, guys like Destiny [Udogie], and Wilson [Odobert] needed game time. Sonny [Son] Djed and Kulusevski have played a lot of football, they came on and made an impact."

  7. 'It's clearly a big mistake'published at 22:26 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    FT: Tottenham 0-1 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"Of course it’s never nice to be injured and not play but it’s about looking forward and staying positive. We can only do things about the present and future, today was all about winning.

"I try to be in the box and if people want to pass me the ball I try to finish in the back of the net."

On VAR upholding Jarred Gillett's decision to rule out a second Haaland goal for handball:

"It’s because he [Gillett] made the decison on the pitch, that it was a free kick. I don't think it is, it’s clearly a big mistake, but we are humans, we make mistakes. It’s a great goal and I dont think it’s handball but what can we do, we won, I'm happy.

"We could have finished the game in the first half but it’s not easy, they got the momentum and energy and in the end its a difficult game. It’s all about winning, being greedy and taking three points when we can.

On the saves made by Ederson:

"Ederson is ridiculous, that save at the end was so important. I think our goalkeepers like playing here!"

  9. 'We fully deserved the three points'published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

FT: Manchester United 3-2 Ipswich Town

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, speaking to TNT Sports: "Today I'm not frustrated. We controlled the game and since the first minute I felt the players were trying to play and we managed to score two goals.

"The sending off changed the game a bit but the fight the fans showed and the fans helped a lot and we fully deserved the three points.

"There are some moments that are really hard but that's natural in every profession, you need to suffer."

On Patrick Dorgu, who was at fault for a goal and then got sent off: "Players can have a mistake like Patrick today. The sending off, he wants to play the ball.

"He is ready for the Premier League. Last week he had a good performance against Everton, today they [the critics] will say he is not experienced enough for the Premier League, but I don't feel that way."

  10. 'Unacceptable'published at 22:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

FT: Manchester United 3-2 Ipswich Town

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, speaking to TNT Sports, said: "We're really annoyed with how it ended up. We didn't defend the set plays well enough in the first half and then the one at the start of the second half is really poor. We knew the threat was on set pieces and the third goal is unacceptable from our point of view and from then on we were chasing.

"We need to stand up and be counted better. We have defended set pieces well all season, but we were unable to deal with them tonight. We were not strong enough from a maturity point of view and they handled it better than us when they were down to 10 men.

"We had some good spells in the first half, we started the game really well and we can have a high level, we've had spells like that in nearly all the games.

"Tonight it is on us, we have to own it. It's not a night where we're feeling many positives, we let one get away from us. We need to learn from tonight, we played against a group of players that showed their maturity and quality."
