Blackpool reach second round with a 1-0 win against Scunthorpe
Ashley Fletcher scored the only goal as Blackpool reached the second round of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win at home to National League side Scunthorpe.
The forward struck after 17 minutes, firing home after the ball bounced back to him five yards out.
Joe Rowley threatened for Scunthorpe 10 minutes before the break but was denied by Seasiders goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Scunthorpe delivered a spirited display against their League One opponents, with Northern Ireland keeper Peacock-Farrell again called into action to keep out Joe Starbuck before the break and striker Danny Whitehall had the ball in the net but was denied by the offside flag.
Peacock-Farrell saved again from substitute Zain Westbrooke in the closing stages as Ian Evatt secured back-to-back wins to begin his Blackpool tenure.
