    Plymouth 1-1 Hull

Wayne Rooney has picked up his first point as Plymouth Argyle boss.

The Pilgrims led through Ibrahim Cissoko, but a superb curled finish from Hull captain Lewie Coyle was enough to earn a share of the spoils.

Former England and Manchester United captain Rooney demanded more of his players after their heavy opening-day defeat last week, and they have delivered with this hard-fought result.

And a very later cherry on the cake has been added for Burnley.

Zeki Amdouni had only come off the bench about four minutes earlier, but he has quickly produced the moment of the game!

He takes advantage of space that opens up in front of him, goes on a run then smashes a shot from distance off the underside of the crossbar and into the net.

    What a comeback by QPR's 10 men!

It's substitute Koki Saito, making his Rangers debut, who provides the assist and Lyndon Dykes steers it home.

Sheffield United seemed set for their first home league win since December... now it looks as though that might elude them.

Having said Rangers were pressing for the equaliser, they've just suffered a setback...

Experienced midfielder Jack Colback, who only came on at half-time, has been shown his second yellow card within four minutes and the visitors are down to 10 men in the closing stages.

Just before that, Michael Frey went close with a header - but it'll surely be an uphill struggle for his depleted side now.

  8. 'Walter has put the belief in Hull'published at 16:44 British Summer Time 17 August

    Plymouth 1-1 Hull

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

There's positives for Hull City. It's the belief that Tim Walter has got over to the players. The main thing is they are going forward - you see that with Lewie Coyle. That's been fine.

It's just giving those silly little passes away and if they do that, you can see it's going to be entertaining.

Both teams today have given it everything.

  12. CLOSE!published at 16:38 British Summer Time 17 August

    Plymouth 1-1 Hull

We are into the final 15 minutes at Home Park and Liam Millar is so nearly the Hull hero!

He drills a low shot just wide of the far post.

That's proof that the hosts will be made to work hard if Wayne Rooney is to pick up points for the first time as Plymouth boss.

Sargent is played through down the right-hand side of the box and slides the ball across to Sainz who is waiting at the back post to side-foot it into the back of the net!

It was like being in Norwich library at Carrow Road until Josh Sargent equalised.

Silence with a mix of groans and tuts as hopes of finding some joy dissipated.

But Sargent's equaliser has raised the roof of the home stands.

  16. Postpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 17 August

    Bristol City 2-3 Millwall

Millwall have won four of their last five games at Ashton Gate and they're on course to do it again, despite having emerged for the second half 2-0 down.

Not that Bristol City have given up hope by any means and it needed a smart save by Lukas Jensen to deny Max Bird an equaliser.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:34 British Summer Time 17 August

    Burnley 3-0 Cardiff

Vaclav Hladky has had a solid debut outing for Burnley today, and this save to deny Perry Ng is the pick of his saves.

Chesterfield are all thunder and lightning! They are loud and destructive this afternoon. They are now 5-0 up on Crewe.

What a game we have at the Wham Stadium in Lancashire between Accrington and Harrogate. Stanley have scored two goals this second half and now lead 3-2. A terrific back-and-forth between these two winless sides. This one could go either way.

Walsall continue to dominate Swindon and have netted a pair of second half goals themselves and now lead 4-0. Can the Robins get off the canvas?

Not to be overshadowed, Newport are quietly pulling away from Doncaster and now lead 3-1.
