Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

It's probably what Bristol City deserve from this first half. Max O'Leary hasn't been tested yet whereas Oliver Dovin has had to make two or three saves.

It's going to be a stern half-time team talk from Mark Robins.

Stockport County's perfect start to their League One campaign continues and it is Louie Barry's wonderful 20-yard volley that has sent them in one up against Bristol Rovers at the break.

That is now three in three for County's Aston Villa loan signing.

It's goalless at half-time in the other 12.30 kick off between Burton and Stevenage.

  10. League Two latestpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 24 August

Luke McGee saves a penaltyImage source, Rex Features

Just the one goal to report as the two games reach half-time with Tranmere ahead thanks to Omari Patrick's 13th-minute strike.

Walsall had the chance to score early on, but Jamille Matt's penalty was saved by Luke McGee.

No goals in the first half in the other lunchtime kick off between Crewe and Swindon.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 24 August

    Bristol City 1-0 Coventry

Bristol City take a deserved 1-0 lead in at the break, thanks to George Tanner's perfect volley seconds before half-time.

The Robins have looked the much more dangerous side throughout most of the half, opening Coventry up repeatedly and limiting them to zero shots on target.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-1 Plymouth Argyle

What a dramatic first half at Loftus Road, two goals and a red card as well as some great chances for both sides.

Morgan Whittaker's strike was a thing of beauty, he'll be pleased to get back on the scoresheet having not scored in his last nine Championship games.

Let's wait and see what the second half has in store for us!

  15. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-0 Coventrypublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 24 August

    George Tanner (45+1 mins)

That is how you score an opener!! Right-back George Tanner scores as good a goal as he might ever hit.

He's in acres of space as the ball comes out to him from a corner and he strikes it with a first-time volley on the top of his laces straight into the net.

Coventry keeper Oliver Dovin can only stand and watch as it flies in behind him.

We've seen some superb goals this lunchtime!

  16. League One latestpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 24 August

The league's early pacesetters Stockport County have broken the deadlock at Edgeley Park and what a strike it is from Louie Barry, volleying in from 20 yards for his third goal of the season.

It is goalless in the other third-tier game between Burton Albion and Stevenage.

  17. Postpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 24 August

    Hull City 0-0 Millwall

Heading towards the break and it remains goalless at the MKM Stadium.

  18. 'A mad couple of minutes for Argyle'published at 13:11 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-1 Plymouth Argyle

    Chris Peddy
    BBC Sport at Loftus Road

What a mad couple of minutes for Plymouth.

Morgan Whittaker's equaliser was as surprising as it was stunning - a brilliant way to end a nine-game goalless run in the Championship.

And then moments later the away side were down to 10 players.

Adam Forshaw's challenge on Jimmy Dunne was late and gave referee Gavin Ward no option but to show him a second yellow card.

It means for the second season in a row Argyle will have to compete with 10 players for an hour at Loftus Road, having drawn 0-0 here last season.

  19. CLOSE!published at 13:11 British Summer Time 24 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Coventry

My oh my Bristol City are stretching the Coventry defence in all sorts of ways here.

Cameron Pring runs into acres of space down the left and crosses the ball into the box as Sky Blues defender Jake Bidwell scrambles back to put the ball behind at the far post.

  20. 'Momentum with Bristol City'published at 13:10 British Summer Time 24 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Bristol City are knocking on the door. They aren't creating great chances but you can feel the momentum in their favour.

They are organised, it's a really good press.
