    Bristol City 0-0 Coventry

Bristol City are upping the pressure as they push for a goal before half-time.

Coventry's Josh Eccles gives the ball away near the halfway line and Mark Sykes pounces and races towards the box.

He tees up Sinclair Armstrong - who seems to have shrugged off that earlier injury - but the Sky Blues defence gets back quickly to block his shot.

  2. 'Forshaw gets no acknowledgement from Rooney'published at 13:03 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-1 Plymouth

The elation of the equaliser and then Adam Forshaw makes that challenge. Someone of his experience should not be putting in a challenge like that.

There were no signs from Wayne Rooney or anyone on the Argyle bench acknowledging him as he walked down the tunnel.

  3. RED CARD: Adam Forshaw (Plymouth)published at 13:00 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-1 Plymouth

Plymouth are level on the scoreboard but a man light on the pitch!

    Dear me.

Veteran midfielder Adam Forshaw was booked a few minutes ago for pulling back Karamoko Dembele on the halfway line and now he's back in the dressing room for a silly challenge on Jimmy Dunne down by the corner flag.

Pilgrims boss Wayne Rooney shakes his head ruefully on the bench.

  4. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-1 Plymouth Argylepublished at 12:59 British Summer Time 24 August

    Morgan Whittaker (28 mins)

Oh my word what a goal!

Plymouth Argyle are back on level terms thanks to an outrageous strike from Morgan Whittaker.

He misplaces a pass which ends up landing back at his feet before firing the ball first time from distance into the net.

  5. Postpublished at 12:59 British Summer Time 24 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Coventry

Not a great sight for Bristol City fans as Sinclair Armstrong goes down clutching his knee as he stretches for the ball and collides with a Coventry keeper Oliver Dovin in a one-on-one.

He's in what looks like a fair bit of discomfort before getting to his feet and hobbling off to the sideline with some help from the medical staff. No immediate signs of a substitution but we'll see if he can continue.

  6. Postpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 24 August

    Hull City 0-0 Millwall

The home side threaten for the first time as Mason Burstow draws a save from Lukas Jensen in the away net before Jake Cooper blocks Regan Slater's shot on the rebound.

Cooper is making his 350th appearance for the club today.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-0 Plymouth Argyle

QPR's Karamoko Dembele comes close with a decent effort on the Plymouth Argyle goal.

He picks up the ball just outside the top of the box and is allowed to shoot, his effort just clipping the Argyle crossbar.

  8. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 24 August

    Hull City 0-0 Millwall

First big chance of the game goes the way of the away side.

Hull City keeper Ivor Pandur makes a great stop to deny George Saville the opener.

The Lions are on top against the Tigers in this opening quarter.

  9. 'Encouraging signs for Argyle'published at 12:50 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-0 Plymouth

    Jak Ball
    Co-commentator on BBC Radio Devon

Plymouth Argyle are showing more attacking intent, more of a game plan. Definitely more encouraging signs in the last five minutes.

They have got a grip of the game now. The trouble is they need to be doing this from the start of the game not when they are 1-0 down and they are playing catch-up.

  10. League Two updatepublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 24 August

Tranmere celebrate scoringImage source, Rex Features

Plenty of drama in the opening 15 minutes between Tranmere and Walsall.

Walsall missed an early penalty as Luke McGee saved Jamille Matt's effort.

And Omari Patrick has just put Tranmere ahead with a neat left-footed finish into the bottom corner.

That's Rovers' first league goal of the season after their opening two games ended goalless!

  11. CLOSE!published at 12:47 British Summer Time 24 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Coventry

Two very good chances from Bristol City, who come close to breaking the deadlock as we approach 15 minutes and force Coventry keeper Oliver Dovin into two consecutive saves.

Max Bird - making his third appearance for Bristol City - takes a long-range strike that Dovin dives for and palms away.

The ball goes out for a throw-in and George Tanner finds himself in space again outside the box and has another shot that Dovin saves in the top corner.

  12. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 24 August

    Hull City 0-0 Millwall

I mentioned the number of goals in Millwall's opening two league games earlier on.

They've conceded seven in their first two, that's the same amount they let in in their final 10 Championship games last season.

Tighter start in this one, no shots on target so far.

  13. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 24 August

    QPR 1-0 Plymouth Argyle

    Chris Peddy
    BBC Sport at Loftus Road

What a start from the home side!

New signings Koki Saito and Kader Dembele have been a handful for the Argyle defence from pretty much the first whistle.

And it was Dembele's in-swinging corner that found Michael Frey at the near post to head the Hoops into the lead inside three minutes.

Nicolas Madsen - signed only yesterday - and Paul Smyth had already had chances even before that.

Plymouth yet to really get into this game at a lively Loftus Road.

  14. 'Millwall looking dangerous with set-pieces'published at 12:41 British Summer Time 24 August

Millwall have a high press. I think all teams have sussed Hull City out, they've done their homework.

From the two set pieces they've had, Millwall have looked dangerous.

  15. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 24 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Coventry

A lively start from both sides this opening six minutes, who look equally sharp.

Bristol City are maybe slightly more threatening in front of goal so far, as Mark Sykes crosses in and flips a dangerous ball into the far post which Coventry's Joel Latibeaudiere heads behind from close range.

  16. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-0 Plymouth Argylepublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 24 August

    Michael Frey (3 mins)

The home side have been knocking on the door and they open the scoring after just three minutes.

QPR's Paul Smyth is played through on goal and his effort goes behind for a corner. The resulting set piece is then headed home by Michael Frey.

Frey makes a run towards the front post and glances the ball into the back of the net. Another poor start for Wayne Rooney's Plymouth side.

  17. Madsen starts for Hoops, Obafemi on bench for visitorspublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 24 August

QPR host Plymouth at a very damp Loftus Road where the rain has been pouring all morning and shows no sign of stopping any time soon - grey skies all around.

Both teams need a win and we could see new recruits from both sides today.

Danish midfielder Nicolas Madsen is straight into the Hoops team after the club announced his signing from Belgian club Westerlo less than 24 hours ago. Lucas Andersen misses today's game.

While forward Michael Obafemi is on the bench for the Pilgrims after completing his move from Millwall two days ago.

Conor Hazard starts in the goal for the visitors as new signing Daniel Grimshaw wasn't registered in time following his move from Blackpool.

QPR and Plymouth Argyle are looking for their first wins of the Championship season

Both QPR and Plymouth Argyle are still yet to win in this year's Championship, both sides losing their league opener and drawing last weekend.

QPR's first defeat was a 3-1 home loss to West Bromwich Albion, the Hoops will be looking to avoid recording successive home defeats in the Championship for the first time since January.

Plymouth Argyle’s Morgan Whittaker has failed to score in each of his last nine Championship appearances, never previously going more than six games in the competition for the Pilgrims without netting.

Also worth noting that despite being fit, QPR have not named Lyndon Dykes in their matchday squad today, could he be heading off?
