  1. Postpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

Cardiff keeper Jak Alnwick is down on the turf with an apparent hamstring problem after a clearance kick. It's the same end which Nicolas Schmid limped-off in the first half.

Surely not two keepers subbed in the same game?

Not yet, at least, he's going to try to continue.

    Out of nowhere!

Paul Smyth crosses for Kieran Morgan in the middle of the box.

The youngster, who has only been on the pitch for five minutes, hits straight into the ground and it bounces over Oliver Dovin.

No idea what the goalkeeper was doing as it was pretty much straight at him, but Marti Cifuentes doesn't care as he sprints down the touchline in celebration.

  3. Postpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Swansea are just enjoying a decent spell of possession in the Sheffield Wednesday half.

The Owls are unbeaten on home soil in their last 17 matches in midweek.

The last team to win at Hillsborough in a midweek fixture back in April 2021 was... Swansea City.

10 minutes for either side to break the deadlock.

  4. Postpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time

    Stoke 2-2 Bristol City

Max Bird has landed Bristol City's latest attempt on the roof of the net.

He did well to outjump his marker for the header after Luke McNally directed the ball back across goal from a free-kick.

  5. 'Sky Blues in control'published at 21:21 British Summer Time

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

    Chris Peddy
    BBC Sport at Loftus Road

Coventry have really taken control of this second half as we reach the hour mark.

Hoops boss Marti Cifuentes has sent on Lucas Andersen and 18-year-old Kieran Morgan for Kader Dembele and Ilias Chair.

His side can't get out of their own half at the moment.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time

    Leeds 2-1 Watford

Joel Piroe is frustrated with himself after passing up the chance to shoot in favour of a cut-back, only to miss the ball and lose possession.

It's his last involvement as Mateo Joseph is coming on to replace him, with fit-again Dan James also coming on for Willy Gnonto.

Ken Sema and Ryan Andrews are off the bench for Festy Obosele and Yasser Larouci for the visitors too.

  7. Postpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time

    Leeds 2-1 Watford

Leeds will need another goal if they are to end the night top of the Championship.

But it's all about the three points for Daniel Farke's side. 15 minutes to go.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

QPR are absolutely nowhere in the second half. No flow, no attacking structure.

And Marti Cifuentes has seen enough.

Off come Ilias Chair and Karamoko Dembele for Lucas Andersen and Kieran Morgan.

  9. Postpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time

    Preston 2-2 Norwich

No real chances of note since Norwich drew level but as we've seen in this game so far tonight, it only takes that one moment.

Is there to be a dramatic winner in this seesaw encounter at Deepdale?

  10. Postpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

Cardiff's players are all-in for Omer Riza. That much is clear.

Kusini Yengi threatens to break away from halfway after a free-kick from former Pompey loanee Alex Robertson was cleared, however four players, including Rubin Colwill, swarm back from up the field to stop the threat, win the ball back, and launch an attack of their own.

  11. Postpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Sheffield Wednesday are probing once more. Marvin Johnson sees an attempted cross blocked before the Swans win a free-kick inside their own half.

The visitors keeping up their reputation for being involved in very tight games. Six of their 10 matches in the Championship before tonight have ended either 0-0 or 1-0.

  12. Postpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time

    Stoke 2-2 Bristol City

If Stoke manage to hold on for a point or better tonight, they will have Viktor Johansson to thank.

He again comes to the rescue for the hosts with two quickfire saves.

He first denies George Earthy, who tried to lift the ball over the Swede, then manages to foil Mark Sykes on the follow-up.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:12 British Summer Time

    Stoke 2-2 Bristol City

Viktor Johansson comes up with yet another fine save for Stoke.

This time he gets down low to turn a fierce effort from Jason Knight around the post.

Bristol City have worked wonders to restore parity, and they look determined to complete the job by nabbing all three points.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:12 British Summer Time

    Leeds 2-1 Watford

Leeds full-back Jayden Bogle fires in a, well, it's a cross, but he might say otherwise, from the right of the area which comes back off the Leeds upright and into the goalmouth.

WIlly Gnonto misses his kick but the ball drops to Joel Piroe whose shot is too close to Daniel Bachmann who makes a scrambling save at the second attempt, this time before it rolls over the line.

  15. Postpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

Coventry are unbeaten in the last 23 Championship matches when leading at half-time - their last loss while leading at the break was this month two years ago.

And they should be 2-0 up.

Josh Eccles delivers an absolute beaut of a cross into the box. Brandon Thomas-Asante slides in but it is Steve Cook who tickles behind for a corner.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

This is probably the best chance of the game so far for Sheffield Wednesday...

Marvin Johnson surges down the left and whips a cross that comes all the way to Pol Valentin at the back-post but he steers his effort into the upright and it goes behind.

Still all square at Hillsborough and it's a tightly contested encounter.

Will either side find a winner in the final 20 minutes plus stoppages?

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:10 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

Another chance spurned. Callum Robinson sends Anwar Al Ghazi through but his left-footed effort is blocked by the foot of Jordan Archer.

The keeper is then called into action to block Perry Ng's far-post volley after a looping cross from the left.

    All action in Cardiff.

And Archer thought he'd have a quiet night on the bench.

  18. Postpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time

    Leeds 2-1 Watford

Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier knows he's been in a game tonight.

Another inswinging corner into a melee in his goalmouth looks like it's going to creep inside the near post but the French keeper gets across to claw the ball off the line under pressure form his own defenders.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:07 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

As close as Portsmouth have come.

Sub Kusini Yengi shows good footwork to beat his man in the City box and fires in a low shot which deflects off a sliding defender but is turned away from the far post by the right hand of City keeper Jak Alnwick, who has been largely a spectator tonight but showed incredible reactions there.

  20. 'Pompey not out of this'published at 21:07 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Fair play to Portsmouth's fans. They are making a right racket in the away end.

It was mainly self-deprecating chants and a smattering of boos in the first half but, since the break, the travelling supporters have been loudly getting behind their side.

Pompey are not out of this yet.
