  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time

    Preston 2-1 Norwich

Norwich City have made a change at half-time and the provider of their goal Kellen Fisher is replaced by Kaide Gordon.

  3. Postpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

Three additional minutes at the end of the first half.

QPR fans have been in the referee's ear over Coventry's slow restarts, and Jay Dasilva has borne the brunt of that ire as he is booked for taking an age to deliver a throw-in.

  4. 18 shots for Bristol Citypublished at 20:46 British Summer Time

    HT: Stoke 2-0 Bristol City

Stoke were ruthless with the way they took a 2-0 lead after just 14 minutes.

Bristol City have been left frustrated in response.

They have had 18 attempts at goal, but managed just four on target. Many of those chances have come from the 10 corners they have had.

  5. Postpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

Ilias Chair adds a fourth shot to his tally tonight. Oliver Dovin has to scramble across his line but ultimately it was going to take a lot to beat him from 30 yards.

Karamoko Dembele causes even less alarm after the ball sat up nicely for him, but he only skews wide.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

A dream half for the hosts, and a nightmare for the visitors.

Portsmouth defender Regan Poole turned into his own net in the first few minutes which rather set the tone for the visitors who then saw Callum Robinson slam the second from close range.

Pompey have been largely chasing shadows for much of the half and have also lost Paddy Lane and keeper Nicolas Schmid to injury in the opening 45 minutes.

It could easily be three or four already, can John Mousinho do anything to stem the tide during the break?

  7. As it stands...published at 20:37 British Summer Time

    #bbcefl

Just what Leeds United wanted - 2-0 up at the break - a scoreline that takes them top.

And look at Oxford United... flying high after 25 years away from the second tier.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time

    Leeds 2-0 Watford

Two goals in the first seven minutes have Leeds sitting top of the live league table.

Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann won't want to see either of them again, first allowing Largie Ramazani's blast to squirm through his grasp and bounce over the line and then spooning a low cross straight to Brenden Aaronson to turn in the second soon after.

He appeared to be carrying a knock on Saturday at Luton and he's not looked right tonight either.

Leeds, on the other hand, look very right indeed.

  9. 'Derby need to improve'published at 20:35 British Summer Time

    HT: Oxford Utd 1-0 Derby

    Dan George
BBC Sport at The Kassam Stadium

Oxford United going into the break a goal up and deserve the lead.

For Derby, the pace of Corey Blackett-Taylor appeared to be one of their biggest threats in the first half.

The left winger is absolutely rapid, one of the fastest players in the Championship I'd say, that battle between him and Peter Kioso one to watch in the second half.

Oxford have looked assured and had a couple of chances to score, a lovely move and finish by Dane Scarlett on 12 minutes to make it 1-0.

Derby need to be better in the second half if they are to come away with anything for me, they have had three shots on target to Oxford's one though, an interesting second half to come.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:35 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

    It should be three.

Pompey keeper Jordan Archer is caught in no man's land allowing Rubin Colwill to clip a cross to the far post where Callum Robinson took a touch but could only blaze over the bar from eight yards as Archer scrambled across his goal.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time

    Preston 2-1 Norwich

Norwich halve the deficit with the last kick of the first-half.

Preston raced into a two-goal lead inside 12 minutes thanks to a Sam Greenwood penalty after Emil Riis was brought down in the area by goalkeeper George Long.

Duane Holmes then hit a neat finish across goal after he was played in by Greenwood to double their advantage.

The Canaries dominated possession thereafter and eventually made it count when Sainz snuck in at the near post to prod home for 2-1.

    Game on in the second-half.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time

    Stoke 2-0 Bristol City

Lewis Koumas scores for StokeImage source, Getty Images

Lewis Koumas has scored one goal and set up the other as Stoke lead Bristol City by two at the break.

Potters goalkeeper Viktor Johansson has worked hard to ensure that is the case, having made a number of first-half saves for the hosts.

  13. goal

GOAL: Preston 2-1 Norwichpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time

    Borja Sainz (45+2 mins)

Right on the stroke of half-time and it's that man Borja Sainz again for Norwich!

Kellen Fisher fizzes an excellent low cross and Sainz swoops in to steer it in at the near post.

A superb finish by Sainz who bags his eighth goal of the season and the Canaries are right back in it.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time

    Oxford 1-0 Derby

Dane Scarlett's well-taken finish in the 12th minute is all that separates these two side at the break.

  15. 'Impatience in the stands'published at 20:32 British Summer Time

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

    Chris Peddy
    BBC Sport at Loftus Road

QPR seeing much more of the ball here with Ilias Chair and Koki Saito both seeing shots deflected behind in a dominant spell for the hosts.

Paul Smyth has just whipped a left-foot shot from at least 25 yards out and sent it whistling past the post as the Hoops push for the equaliser.

Much better from the Hoops but there's still a bit of impatience in the stands, the fans don't want to see their players going backwards.

Coventry are struggling to retain possession but are leading in the stat that matters.

  16. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

NINE minutes added on after all the injury stoppages at the Cardiff City Stadium.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

    All square at the break.

Swansea City have come closest, striking the post through Jay Fulton, but Sheffield Wednesday ended the half the stronger of the two.

No real moments of quality in the final third just yet. Will we get some in the second-half?

    Where the goals at?!

  19. Postpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time

    Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouth

Pompey's Jordan Williams needed some lengthy treatment to his hip after a full-throttle collision with David Turnbull in midfield.

John Mousinho feared he'd have to make a third first-half sub due to injury but the right-back is going to soldier on until half-time at least.

  20. Postpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Groans from the home crowd as Sheffield Wednesday come forward again but the move breaks down as Barry Bannan tries to spread it wide and instead hits it straight into touch.

The Owls seem the more likely, though.
