  1. goal

GOAL - Nottingham Forest 0-1 West Hampublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 31 August

    Jarrod Bowen

What a finish from Jarrod Bowen, who twists and fires a low curling effort into the bottom left corner from 18 yards.

The visitors could be about to claim their first points of the season.

Crysencio Summerville played a big part in that with a driving run.

    I think that would’ve been a penalty yesterday…

  3. Should Brighton have had a second penalty?published at 15:41 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at The Amex

On the incident where Khusanov stood on the foot of Gruda in the box:

Going by what we have seen over the weekend it should be a foul. When Gruda put his foot down he put it in an area where you may not necessarily expect him to put it and Khusanov comes across and steps on his foot. For me it's a penalty.

Mateus Fernandes is replaced by Crysencio Summerville for West Ham.

  5. 'Big chance for Haaland'published at 15:40 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at The Amex

That was a big chance for Haaland. He was just outside of the six yard box, the ball gets whipped in there and he gets up but the one thing I would say is that the ball was a little too high for him.

  6. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 31 August

    Nottm Forest 0-0 West Ham

Lucas Paqueta skips away from Elliot Anderson like he is not there down the right and plays in Mateus Fernandes.

West Ham's new signing makes a right mess of his cross and the hosts clear.

  7. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

Manchester City cannot say they haven't had enough chances to win this.

Their finishing has, on the whole, been pretty wayward.

  8. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 31 August

    Nottm Forest 0-0 West Ham

Callum Wilson does really well to wriggle away in the right channel and force home keeper Matz Sels into a save at the near post.

  9. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

    Around 15 minutes plus stoppages.

I get the feeling there's more drama to come in this.

If it stays like this, Manchester City will go into the international break with four points from three games.

Is the Seventeen year age gap - between Trafford and Milner- the largest age difference between penalty taker and keeper in Premiere League history?

Now Abdukodir Khusanov, who has already been booked, treads on the toe of Brajan Gruda inside the Manchester City box. It's checked and nothing is awarded.

  14. Postpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 31 August

James Milner is the oldest player to score a penalty in Premier League history (39 years, 239 days), and the second oldest to score overall in the competition behind Teddy Sheringham (40 years, 268 days).

Yankuba Minteh of Brighton & Hove Albion controls the ball past Rayan Ait-NouriImage source, Getty Images

That is absolutely brilliant from Minteh. He nutmegged Ait Nouri, drops a shoulder to leave Rodri for dead and his shot towards the far corner is ever so slightly off target.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:32 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

Now Brighton are going for the winner!

Outstanding work by Yankuba Minteh to create space for himself but he cannot get enough curl on the finish.

Brighton look like a changed side since James Milner equalised.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 31 August

    Nottm Forest 0-0 West Ham

Andy Irving is on for James Ward-Prowse for West Ham.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 31 August

    Nottm Forest 0-0 West Ham

Nottingham Forest have a corner and need a goal.

And Chris Wood is being withdrawn for Brazil forward Igor Jesus.

  19. 'Even if Trafford goes the right way he's not stopping it'published at 15:31 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at The Amex

Very cool, very calm. That is what you want, an experienced player to step up and take a penalty. Milner goes right into the bottom corner and even if Trafford goes the right way he's not stopping it.

  20. Postpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 31 August

    Brighton 1-1 Man City

James Milner is old enough to be James Trafford's dad!

This is his 640th Premier League appearance. That was his first Premier League goal since December 2019 for Liverpool against Leicester - which was also a penalty.
