Leandro Trossard has taken a whack to the knee and is in some pain. He's going to carry on for now. Arsenal certainly don't want to end the night with more injuries.

Matheus Nunes stands up a cross, Erling Haaland fools marker Kevin Wimmer to create space and leaps high to head at goal, but he can't keep it down.

Haaland currently has an incredible record of 41 Champions League goals in 40 appearances. His next goal in this competition will take him clear of City legend Sergio Aguero.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is a fantastic goalkeeper and he made a wonderful save but he should not have had the opportunity to make it. When you have a free shot at goal from that distance you have to score it. It should have been the third goal for Arsenal from Gabriel Martinelli.

  4. CLOSE!published at 21:10 British Summer Time 1 October

    Arsenal 2-0 Paris St-Germain

Arsenal are turning on the style.

Another sumptuous move ends with Gabriel Martinelli lashing it towards the net but it's pretty much straight at Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Either side of the keeper and that was 3-0.

Ilkay Gunodgan slides a pass through a crowded penalty area and Rico Lewis takes on and beats a man and looks to get tripped.

Pep Guardiola thinks it is a penalty and it looked like one, but nothing is given either on pitch or via VAR.

You can't keep allowing a team with the quality of PSG to keep possession in your final third and keep putting crosses into your box. With the quality they have they will find the target sooner or later.

Arsenal are on the charge but the move is stopped by the referee for handball against Bukayo Saka. That looked harsh.

Jeremy Doku continues where he left off, tormenting the home defence and Kevin Wimmer especially. Doku pulls it back to Rico Lewis and he hits it first time, but Dominik Takac does OK to dive and parry away the effort.

Paul C: Arsenal are 2-0 up and look good at home but I’m still not relaxed just because of what happened at weekend against Leicester. Need to keep the level up and kill this game asap with another goal or 2.

Jerdy Schouten's strike from range separates the two sides at the break.

It has been a comfortable first half for Peter Bosz's side but given their dominance the Dutch side should be further ahead.

If Celtic want to really compete in the CL they’ll need to join the English leagues; otherwise they’ll just get hammered.

  17. Barcelona in control at the breakpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 1 October

    HT: Barcelona 3-0 Young Boys

It has been an incredibly dominant display from Barcelona who are 3-0 up against a poor Young Boys side.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring from close range.

Raphinha and Inigo Martinez then found the net within three minutes of each other as Barcelona took control.

An excellent first 45 minutes for the hosts.
