  1. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

It's all a bit scrappy in bleak conditions and the pitch is playing slowly. That's perhaps favouring Burton, in truth.

  2. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Burton win a free-kick midway inside the Exeter half on the right. It's swung in by Owen Dodgson and Ryan Sweeney tries to head it back across the face of goal but Exeter are able to clear.

  3. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Just over five minutes gone in this second half and it's very much followed the theme of the first.

Exeter dominating possession and looking to probe. Nothing to shout about in the way of chances yet.

  4. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

A reminder that Shrewsbury will be relegated if Burton draw or win this one.

Salop were 12 points adrift of safety going into this, meaning just one more point for Albion sends them down to League Two.

A case of when not if, really.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 47 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Burton's Jason Sraha was replaced at half-time by Jack Armer.

The groundstaff were out doing their best at the break trying to keep the pitch playable as the rain continues to drive in.

Still a fair few puddles about. Quite a few, in-fact.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Back under way at St James Park.

Can Burton see out what might be a valuable point in the relegation battle? Or better still, take all three?

Exeter were the better side in that first half, so Albion will need to up it.

    HT: Exeter 0-0 Burton

A quick stat for you before we resume at St James Park.

Each of the past four league meetings between Exeter and Burton have been settled by a one-goal margin (three Exeter wins, one Burton win).

Looks like we could be heading for something similar in the second 45.

  8. 'Albion have been in two minds'published at 13:55 British Summer Time 18 April

    HT: Exeter 0-0 Burton

    Aaron Webster
Former Burton Albion defender on BBC Radio Derby

Albion have been in two minds about when to press and when to protect, the first thing Gary Bowyer will mention is that in the half-time talk.

Albion and Exeter have got to maximise the state of the pitch.

Ryan Sweeney has won his duels and headers, but his leadership and organisation has bred confidence into others, really important that that have him back today.

  9. 'They need to break the lines'published at 13:52 British Summer Time 18 April

    HT: Exeter 0-0 Burton

    Bow Jackson
Exeter City Women's captain on BBC Radio Devon

Exeter have had all the possession, but they've failed to do anything with it.

They need to break the lines and make the defence work.

It's all been played in front of Burton and it's been fairly easy for them, it's disappointing to be 0-0.

With the amount of play and possession they will have to push in the second-half.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 18 April

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Exeter have played all the football in the first half at a very wet and windy St James Park but have nothing to show for it.

Caleb Watts saw his early effort for the Grecians blocked on the line by Dylan Williams and Jack McMillan went through one-on-one but was thwarted by Burton keeper Max Crocombe.

Not a bad outcome at the midway stage all things considered for Albion, who are one point clear of danger above Bristol Rovers as things stand in the live table.

Big 45 coming up for the Brewers in particular.

  11. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 18 April

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Exeter are knocking it along their backline and water is kicking up off the surface. The ball is slowing up a bit as well.

Credit to the Grecians who are still trying to play along the deck and build it up.

Burton are standing strong at the moment, though.

One minute added on at the end of the first half and it's almost up.

  12. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

You have to wonder how much of a part the conditions could play in this game. You'd imagine the pitch is only going to tear up more and surface water is gathering in places.

Tough for both sets of players at the moment.

  13. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

The sound of the rain continues to make a racket on the top of the stands around the ground.

So far, so good, in terms of the scoreline for Burton.

  14. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Burton centre-back Ryan Sweeney finds himself in an unfamiliar position on the left-wing but swipes his cross out of play and into the travelling support behind the goal.

  15. 'Caleb Watts is running the game'published at 13:36 British Summer Time 18 April

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

    Aaron Webster
Former Burton Albion defender on BBC Radio Derby

The football is really lovely from Exeter at the moment, Caleb Watts is running the game.

His end product needs to be better, but he's really making things happen in there.

Burton have so far stopped them from finding the goal though.

  16. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Caleb Watts swings in a ball to the back post from the free-kick for Exeter but Angus MacDonald can't keep it alive and heads behind for a goal-kick.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 34 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

And now Burton captain Ryan Sweeney earns himself a booking for yanking Exeter forward to the ground in a dangerous area.

Free-kick for the Grecians about 25 yards out on the right...

  18. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Burton skipper Ryan Sweeney goes down and needs a bit of attention. It gives the players a quick chance to take on some fluids.

Perhaps a Bovril in this weather?

Sweeney is back on his feet and on we go.

  19. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

Exeter are continuing to play excellent football in the build-up. It's another great move and Caleb Watts gets to the byeline on the right but his cross is blocked.

  20. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Burton

If you switched this game on and I told you it was mid-January, you'd believe it.

It is absolutely teeming down in Exeter and the wind is driving the rain across St James Park.

Got to love British spring time, haven't you?
