Bristol City captain Jason Knight celebrates his side's opener at Ashton Gate
Bristol City maintained the momentum from a promising start to their league campaign when booking a second-round date in the Carabao Cup with a win over League Two MK Dons.

Manager Gerhard Struber made five changes from the side which thumped Sheffield United on Saturday and delivered early bragging rights at the top of the Championship table.
His side were soon in charge of this game, taking the lead after six minutes, captain Jason Knight rising highest to head home Scott Twine's corner from the right after just six minutes.
A second goal on the hour mark from Yu Hirakawa, teed up with a deft lobbed assist from Twine but made with a wriggling run across the penalty area and hefty finish high into the net, put the tie to bed.
Bristol City's opener was a first goal conceded by MK Dons under manager Paul Warne's leadership - a run stretching back six matches to April.
There will be some consolation for Warne, whose side will now be free to concentrate on what is expected to be a big push for the League Two title, that they bumped into a team in form.
For the Robins, who have made the semi-finals of this competition three times including last time in 2018, they continue to rebuild after losing in the play-offs last season and then losing manager Liam Manning to Norwich.
The early signs under Struber continue to look promising.
Struber: "A win we deserved"
Paul Warne on MK Dons defeat: "Generally speaking, I was pretty proud of the performance."
