Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to Sky Sports: "We had to be patient for a goal. It was a very poor performance first half. We were not in the game at all. It didn't come as a surprise to me that we conceded. We found a way to win the game in the second half.

"In the end I had to make some hard decisions at half time to create some anger. The three that came in did really well but I could see from the other eight they were different.

"I am fully aware you cannot play high intensity for 38 games. Sometimes you have to find another way to win. Hopefully the first half was a warning sign. The good thing is we probably didn't run that much.[before facing Paris St-Germain on Tuesday]."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I haven't seen it [the penalty] yet so I will have a look and then I can say something to that. We deserved it. We were the only team on the pitch who really wanted to have this win. We created some chances, dominated the game, and defended well. It was not the best performance from us but I think it was a deserved win.

"We weren't at our highest level regarding our freshness but you have to play clever and mature in these moments. You have to defend in a mature way but we conceded an easy goal. We got some more intensity in the second half. I liked the attitude and the character from us."

On the race for Champions League qualification: "It's not in the discussion. We have to focus on the next game."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner speaking to Premier League Productions: "It was an amazing goal from Ismaila Sarr and we took the win. We are really proud because it's a third win in a row in the Premier League. It's a tough thing for any team to do and these guys did it. It's a great statement."

"We now have three weeks without a game and it is important for us to use this time in the best way to make sure we are ready for the crunch time."

On whether Jacob Greaves deserved a red card on foul on Sarr in first half: "I think it was OK. It was a long ball and the keeper was there. We had enough chances to score more than one goal and I don't think it was a decisive situation."

On winning without Jean-Philippe Mateta: "I don't think Mateta never won a game alone. He has always needed his team-mates. That was the same today. He gets the credit for scoring the goals but all the others help as well. They work hard, create chances and he finishes. Keeping a clean sheet is also important. It is always a team effort."

Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Very hard for us. The way we conceded both goals at the level we are playing against good sides, I really believe we are doing well. We are able to calm down and don't let them press as high as they like. We lost momentum and control in the game.

On the penalty: "A typical striker feels the touch and goes down. Nothing to complain about. He did his job. It's for the referee to decide. If it's for our side, I would want it too. It's about being calm in the box.

"I cannot say it was lack of energy at all that can make the two mistakes. It's not an excuse for us. That game was finished last Sunday evening, we had enough time to prepare. We got punished.

"We showed the personality to have the ball and play our way in the first half. The second half wasn't at our best level.

On the fight for Europe: "It's going to be a big fight, many teams are there. we have to take some positives. Don't be nervous, express yourselves."

Ipswich Town

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna speaking to Premier League Productions: "It was a really hard-fought game. We had plenty of chances to score. Luck hasn't been on our side. The margins are really fine and level of the division is really high. We were really close to taking the points today but it's frustrating for the club that we haven't.

"We deserved something from the game. I can't ask for anything more from the players who have been fantastic. We came here with a depleted squad and competed really, really well. We can still improve and I think we are improving. That's a path we need to stick on.

"We have missed big players all season and that is still continuing. Kalvin Phillips played really well today. He is starting to get to the levels that he is capable of and has shown previously. There's less games as the season goes on, so we have to win points right now but at the same time, continue working the same way.

"The only thing that will make us feel better is get some points from Nottingham Forest. The group knows we are getting closer to winning points. We know that one result will change the feel of things."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It's a sign of a good team that you can win in different ways. It was a poor performance first half - not only because of the way we played but also because of the energy we brought.

"The only good thing in the first 45 minutes was that they saved their energy [for Paris St-Germain on Tuesday] and didn't run at all!

"I know these players are capable of doing much, much better. That is what I expect this week. They were not the energy levels I am used to with these players."

On his side's 16 point lead at the top: "It's 16 for now but that can be down to seven by the time we play Everton in a few weeks [Arsenal have three Premier League games before Liverpool next play in the top-flight].

No goals yet but a good game.

Aston Villa have looked very good given their European game in midweek. They've shown good energy away from home and have just started to dominate.

Brentford have always had that attacking threat on the counter too, so the game is nicely balanced.
