Patrick Roberts' penalty on 24 minutes is the difference at the interval at Home Park.

The leaders are on course for a fifth straight win to start the season.

Regis le Bris is a lot happier than Wayne Rooney heading into the changing room.

  4. League Two latestpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 14 September

    #bbcefl

Bad news I'm afraid, Morecambe fans.

The Shrimps will have to play the second half with 10 men after Luke Hendrie was shown a second yeallow card.

Now Owura Edwards has wiped out their lead with an equaliser for Colchester.

Olly Sanderson has drawn Bradford level against Walsall, and Carlisle have pulled a goal back at home to Fleetwood through Charlie Wyke's penalty.

  5. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 14 September

    Sheff Wed 0-0 QPR

The away side have offered basically nothing in this game so far but Michael Frey sends a header on target that at least gives James Beadle in the home goal a touch of the ball.

  6. GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-1 Preston North Endpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 14 September

    Mads Frokjaer-Jensen (43 mins)

Hold on a minute. Where did this come from?!

Middlesbrough seemed to be all over the Lilywhites but Mads Frokjaer-Jensen isn't interested in that. He had his eyes on goal and he sees the net ripple.

Defender Brad Potts spots the forward and sends in the perfect cross to give Forkjaer-Jensen the chance to go into half-time level.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 14 September

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

This is worrying times for Preston North End.

Jack Whatmough doesn't time his challenge on goal scorer Tommy Conway well and it results in a yellow card.

Emmanuel Latte Lath is then fouled by Jordan Storey, who also gets carded.

    It's stressful out there.

  8. 'Good play from Bayo'published at 15:43 British Summer Time 14 September

    Watford 0-1 Coventry

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

It's good play from Bayo to get there and get the header in. He would have done really well to score from there.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:42 British Summer Time 14 September

    Watford 0-1 Coventry

Another chance for the hosts and another header for Vakoun Bayo from a Yasser Larouci cross but this time he can only head the wrong side of Oliver Dovin's post, from a Hornets perspective.

This game really could have had six goals in the opening 40 minutes.

  10. Postpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 14 September

    Plymouth 0-1 Sunderland

    Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

Getting that second goal that's what Sunderland need.

As it stands Plymouth are still in the game.

They will look at opportunities like the Romaine Mundle one, you have to take them.

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:39 British Summer Time 14 September

    Swansea 1-0 Norwich

    Oooooh almost a second!

Liam Cullen gets his head onto a deflection and Canaries defender Callum Doyle has to clear it off the line as it loops towards goal.

  12. League One latestpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 14 September

    #bbcefl

Leyton Orient have scored just their third goal of the season to make it 1-0 against Reading. Theoretically, if the results stay as they are Orient will be three points from getting out of the drop zone. Yes, it's only September but every little helps...

Elsewhere, Lincoln have shot up to third in League One after taking the lead against Peterborough to make it 1-0.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:38 British Summer Time 14 September

    Plymouth 0-1 Sunderland

So nearly a second for Sunderland but Romaine Mundle's effort is deflected off the line and past the post by the Pilgrims defence.

The resulting corner comes to nothing, however.

  14. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 14 September

    Plymouth 0-1 Sunderland

    Katie Middleton
Ex-captain of Plymouth Ladies on BBC Radio Devon

Darko Gyabi just lashes at it and he sends it over the bar.

It falls to Gyabi level with the penalty spot but he sends it flying over the bar.

A really good opportunity to equalise there for Argyle.

  15. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 14 September

    Derby 1-0 Cardiff

Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is forced into some action in the Derby goal as the away side look to draw level.

Cardiff have only taken one point from their first four games this season.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:36 British Summer Time 14 September

    Watford 0-1 Coventry

Watford come to life but Vakoun Bayo's close-range header is well saved by Oliver Dovin.

Will Coventry be made to rue their glut of missed chances in the opening half-hour?

  17. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 14 September

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

The Boro won't let North End breathe. In a five minute spell, they have three further shots.

Tommy Conway has his shot desperately chased down to prevent his second of the day while Emmanuel Latte Lath volleys his effort over, just.

Isaiah Jones, not wishing to be left of the action, then goes for goal himself. He curls one in but keeper Freddie Woodman put his mitts on it.

There are some seriously fast heartbeats in the away stands as Preston's defence is tested to it's limits.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:34 British Summer Time 14 September

    Plymouth 0-1 Sunderland

First sight of goal for the Pilgrims but Darko Gyabi fires over Anthony Patterson's bar after Callum Wright's low cross falls to him when well placed.

    Livening up at Home Park.

  19. Robins fans show appreciation to ex-striker Weimannpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 14 September

    Blackburn 1-0 Bristol City

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Ewood Park

The Bristol City fans finally have something to cheer about... but it's because they are seeing their ex-striker Andreas Weimann warming up by them.

He looks appreciative as they sing his name.

The Austrian scored a screamer for Rovers in their derby-day draw with Burnley.

The 33-year-old joined Rovers in the summer after 51 goals in a six-year spell in Bristol.

  20. 'Another great chance for Coventry'published at 15:33 British Summer Time 14 September

    Watford 0-1 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

I hope we’re not going to rue these chances. Another great chance for Coventry.

They're all over the place defensively, Watford. Coventry are getting in time and again.
