Summary

  1. 'Clear push in the back'published at 13:20 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Nick Barnes
    BBC Newcastle's Sunderland commentator

That to me looked a clear push in the back, Rigg got a penalty last week for less than that.

Simon Hooper categorically waved it away.

  2. Postpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

Boro striker Emmanuel Latte Lath lifts the ball over the bar in the final action of the half.

Moments earlier Romaine Mundle went down in the box at the other end but no penalty.

  3. goal

GOAL: Norwich 2-1 Watfordpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 21 September

    Borja Sainz (45 + 2 mins)

Norwich go in front again just before the break.

An absolutely exquisite first touch from Borja Sainz, to control a ball over the top, has the Spaniard through on goal.

He keeps his cool to slot past Watford's substitute goalkeeper Jonathan Bond inside his near post.

Carrow Road is again in raptures.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

Sunderland forward Patrick Roberts talks himself into a booking after a foul on Aidan Morris.

  5. Postpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

Sunderland make an absolute hash of a clearance down by their own goal-line and Finn Azaz goes for goal from 25 yards out.

A home defender hurls himself in the way to send it behind for a corner.

The visitors can't do anything with it though as we go into three minutes of time added on.

  6. Postpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

Boro win another corner as Isaiah Jones sees his shot deflect on to the roof of the net after he cuts in off the right.

The home side are able to clear but, once again, the ball is at a Boro player's feet.

  7. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-1 Millwallpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 21 September

    Michael Frey (40 mins)

    As I was saying...

It looked like Millwall were on for a second after Macaulay Langstaff put a cross into the box but the Lions over-committed and QPR flipped the switch.

Karamoko Dembele makes the break and Michael Frey runs straight into the right position inside the box. He bends it past Millwall keeper Lukas Jensen and equalises.

Six minutes after the opening goal and we are back on level terms.

  8. Postpublished at 13:10 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

The away side continue to probe.

Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson has to shovel a deflected Aidan Morris cross-shot away from his near post before Finn Azaz can only flick an attempt straight at the Black Cats keeper.

  9. Postpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 21 September

    Norwich 1-1 Watford

Both sides have gone looking to dig out a late first-half advantage now.

Josh Sargent tests Watford's keeper at one end before Daniel Jebbison works Canaries keeper Angus Gunn with a shot from the top of the box.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 21 September

    Norwich 1-1 Watford

Watford will wonder how they haven't completely turned this game on its head to lead right now.

Giorgi Chakvetadze hits the far post directly from a corner and while Daniel Jebbison is right on the line to pounce, he somehow misses from point-blank range. That is utterly unbelievable.

It appears that Doyle was the hero on the goalline, keeping Chakvetadze's corner from finding the back of the net.

  11. goal

GOAL: QPR 0-1 Millwallpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 21 September

    Duncan Watmore (34 mins)

Duncan Watmore's hard work pays off.

Macaulay Langstaff send in the pass on the turn and George Honeyman smartly steps over it as it makes it's way to the danger man.

It's a clinical finish from Watmore, who makes it look like he's just on the training ground rather than in a big derby.

QPR won't be panicking all that much right now though. No Championship side has gained as many points from a losing position as the R's this season.

  12. Postpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

Boro don't seem to have been thrown off their stride too badly by that Sunderland opener.

There's still a long way to go in this one and they'll keep doing what they were doing before, as Neto Borges sends a teasing cross across the face of goal from their left.

  13. Postpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 21 September

    Norwich 1-1 Watford

    Geoff Doyle
    BBC Three Counties Radio

End to end stuff here, it's like a cup tie.

Not sure the coaches will be enjoying it on the touchline!

  14. 'Chris Rigg ole, ole, ole!'published at 13:00 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport at the Stadium of Light

Cheeky from Chris Rigg to find the net with a backheel. A mess from a Middlesbrough perspective with centre-half and goalkeeper on the floor in the area.

The 17-year-old has his first goal since April. That came in a 5-1 thumping by Blackburn. This one will count for a whole lot more.

The Sunderland fans are in full voice chanting, 'Chris Rigg, ole, ole, ole'!

  15. CLOSE!published at 13:00 British Summer Time 21 September

    QPR 0-0 Millwall

And now it's QPR's turn to create some trouble.

Koki Saito goes sprinting down the left-hand side to set up Lucas Anderson in the middle of the six-yard box. Millwall's George Saville is there to save the day and puts in that all important block.

The Lions will need to watch Saito on that left flank. He's looking tricky.

  16. goal

GOAL - Norwich 1-1 Watfordpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 21 September

    Ryan Andrews (26 mins)

    Watford are back level!

And this really feels like it has come from nowhere, with the chance falling to Ryan Andrews to finish after the ball was kept alive in the area after Rocco Vata saw an effort come off the woodwork.

Ken Sema was the one to get on the rebound, before picking out Andrews for the equaliser.

  17. 'It's the local lad'published at 12:56 British Summer Time 21 September

    Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbrough

    Mark Drury
    BBC Tees commentator

It's the local lad, Rigg just pounces on it, it's a backheel finish.

It's a really good improvised finish from Chris Rigg.

  18. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 21 September

    Norwich 1-0 Watford

Norwich now have the ball in the back of the net for the second time today!

Borja Sainz holds off a defender as he races away on goal, then squeezes his shot by replacement goalkeeper Jonathan Bond.

But the celebration is over before it every really began as the flag was up for offside.

  19. goal

GOAL: Sunderland 1-0 Middlesbroughpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 21 September

    Chris Rigg (24 mins)

What was I saying about Middlesbrough being on top...

Teenager Chris Rigg produces a brilliant backheeled finish to put the Black Cats in front.

Patrick Roberts cuts in off the right and hits a shot that Seny Dieng can only parry out and Rigg, 17, takes it around him and then, with the angle going against him, backheels it over the line.

    Lovely finish.

  20. CLOSE!published at 12:55 British Summer Time 21 September

    QPR 0-0 Millwall

Millwall forward Duncan Watmore looks alive today. He's already had a couple of chance, but this time he sets it up for Macaulay Langstaff with a short, direct pass in the box.

Langstaff connects and strikes towards the near post. The net ripples but it's the wrong side as it goes just wide.
