Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola to BBC Match of the Day: "It was a great game. We did everything we could. We needed our very best performance and not the greatest game [from City] and that happened. It is very good to beat City and even better to beat them deservedly.

"It is very difficult. They are a great team. They have amazing subs and you have to suffer, stay compact. We suffered after a good game. We had the chance to finish it and not suffer too much at the end, but now we have to enjoy it."

On Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez: "They played very well the last few games and today they had the finishing product. Milos had two assists, we felt he deserved to get the numbers and I am happy as it was a complete performance., Defensively, not only them but overall, to beat a team like City you need everyone to play really well and today they did."

On beating Arsenal and Manchester City in successive games: "It is difficult but we have shown on our day we can create chances. We know there are better teams than us but it is not easy to play here and we have to keep this level so everyone knows that when the come here it will not be an easy game."

An early injury scare for Wolves with Matheus Cunha getting his foot trod on by a clumsy Marc Guehi challenge.

A couple of chances then for Palace but Will Hughes and Daichi Kamada can't find a way through for the Eagles.

Hughes' shot looked to have beaten Jose Sa, but Craig Dawson made a crucial and very impressive block.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest vice-captain Ryan Yates speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live: "We were really getting into it at the end and we wanted more goals. Unfortunately mine didn't go in but we are delighted with today's work."

On whether pre-season with Nuno has helped Forest's start to the season: "He can really implement the ideas. There are many things that have gone into why we were doing well. I think the recruitment has been fantastic. We have kept the core together and we are doing really well.

"There are still things we can improve on. They are a tough opposition and they went down to 10 men which changed things but you can only beat what is in front of you."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler to BBC Match of the Day: "There was a big chance today. If we score the second goal, or we could have even got a third or fourth, in the first half then it is a different game.

"Then of course they have individual quality. They scored out of nowhere with a cross, they scored with a shot from outside the box. In this league there are top quality players.

"We have to be at the maximum and today we were not for 90 minutes. Then you can't win the game."

On goalscorer Ferdi Kadioglu: "He's a very flexible players. He gives us good crosses, good shots, he can run a lot. He needs a little bit more time to adapt to the intensity but he's getting there step-by-step. He is a great character, he loves to learn, he loves to improve and when he shows this attitude then I'm sure long-term he will be a very important player for us."

When you beat Real Madrid, it's kind of similar. You know you have to be at your best level and wait for them to not have their best day.

"We had to feel the pressure and it was tight at the end.

"I'm very pleased, one thing is to beat City but another is to play better. We played with no fear, tried to press when we could and defend when we had to.

"It was dangerous in the last 10 minutes. You don't enjoy that at all. There was so much pressure."

On Milos Kerkez: "He has to continue, he's so young. He has to get experience to get more mature defensively. He gives a lot of offensive volume, today he got two assists."

On Evanilson: "It's a good signing. Everyone is happy when he scores. I think his performances have been very good. He did well against Arsenal and we want to see more things."

Ipswich Town

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna speaking to Sky Sports: "It's a tough one to take. I thought we were much the better team and it's on the referee's decision again. It's a clear penalty and it goes 2-0. Kalvin pulls his foot out of the way and I don't think he has to make the decision."

On what he said to the referee: "I said I thought it was a penalty and it had to be given live. He said he thought there wasn't enough. I thought it was clear. The second yellow card, of course when you look at it in slow motion and the balls bouncing on the edge of the box. I trust Kalvin. I don't think it's a wild one. I know you can slow it down but in the context of the game, the ball is bouncing on the edge of the box, and he pulls out the challenge. It's not a wild one."

On dressing room atmosphere: "They're fuming. There's a sense of injustice in the room. We can always look at our bit and what we can do better but I don't think the boys have had a fair crack at it."

Wolves have had really tough start.

The good thing about their last game is they were 2-0 down at Brighton and the game was over but they got a late equaliser and it's amazing what that can do for you.

I actually fancy Wolves at home today. It's although game but I fancy them getting their first three points today.

Leicester City

Leicester boss Steve Cooper speaking to Premier League Productions: "We've shown that more than once this season, it's a good sign you can bring people off and can still make an impact in the game. On the performance, when we were good, we were superior. There were moments when we weren't good. They scored an excellent goal. I think the game was always going to be determined by the level we played at.

"We allowed Ipswich spells to get some momentum in the game. We kept going and I felt like that goal was coming. I felt like we deserved to win but it's a miles better result for us than it is for them."

On striking experience: "They know it could be a chaotic moment right at the end. Fair to play them. You need that. it's a tough one not starting Jordan Ayew because of his experience and the level he's played at for a number of years. It's good to have the options."

On being in the stands: "It wasn't the worst experience of my life. You see it a lot clearer. It's not a bad thing not being in touching distance of the officials. You don't want to be up there. We managed it well I felt."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot to Sky Sports: "We needed another second-half performance but because we were outplayed in the first half. They were better on the ball, more aggressive without the ball. Then, everything changed in the second half because it was completely the opposite.

"Our attackers scored the goals but the main difference was we were better positioned and we had the ball a lot more. Without the ball they made problems for us but in the second half we just kept running."

On going top of the Premier League: "It's more if you play against Arsenal in their stadium and you can get a draw away from home. Brighton are a very strong team as well, they have shown this season. If you face a team like this and are 1-0 down and can come back to a 2-1 win which in my opinion was deserved that gives me a lot of confidence. More than the position we are in."

On the injury to Ibrahima Konate; "He had a lot of pain during half-time so then you have to make the change. The good thing is we have two very good replacements in Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah. I chose Joe today because Jarell was really tired and he proved I was right because he was outstanding in the second half."

On Joe Gomez: "He had a very good performance without the ball. He constantly stepped into midfield to win the ball, winning the duels, and when he had to defend he did very well. Very good second half."

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to BBC Match of the Day: "We knew we couldn't match the intensity. We have talked about it. It was an open game. We had chances at the end but I congratulate Bournemouth for the victory.

"The 50-50 balls in the middle, the duels, they play this type of game. They are so aggressive. They had six-seven days to prepare. They have physicality and speed, but you have to win these types of situations. And they had chances. Ederson made a good save. We had real good moments at the start of the second half and after that it was difficult to swallow as we were good. After we scored we had momentum and chances but couldn't score [again].

On injuries and fitness issues: "It is what it is. We have few players with a lot of minutes and a lot of players with no minutes to the balance is a bit uncomfortable. We played good against Spurs but today we could not handle their intensity that they had and that's why we lost the game."

Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to BBC MOTD: "We started the game really well and created some situations and were playing in the way we wanted.

"Then when 1-0 down you know you have to play a different game. They try and drag you into a certain way of playing and we didn't have enough answers to get out of there consistently enough to be more of a threat and score the goals.

"A goal would have changed the dynamic of the game completely. We had two or three big chances and didn't put them away. The level of consistency we demand to be more of a threat we didn't realise today.

"Credit to them for what they do and how they do it. With us, with the ball especially, were very inconsistent in our actions. We didn't threated the goal enough or put the ball into certain areas. We needed more answers but we didn't find them. The margins are so thin."

On his substitutions: "We didn't really change the dynamic of the game."

They were miles off it in the first half and credit to Brighton.

They came out in the second half with a completely different attitude. That was Klopp-like intensity from Arne Slot's team in the second half and that could be a massive win for Liverpool.

Ipswich Town

Ipswich left-back Leif Davis to Premier League Productions: "We came in frustrated. I think we could have had a penalty. Everyone makes mistakes, we're human but it should have been given. We have to watch our heads after that. We're just disappointed."

On Kalvin Phillips' red card: "If you're playing against 10 men then you get that momentum swing. I think he's disappointed it happened and in his head he probably thinks he needs to be cleverer but it happened.

"I'm buzzing that is my first goal but I would have been happier with the three points. We want to get points on the board. I was just in the right place at the right time. I've always wanted to score in the Prem.

"Everyone came in with clear heads and worked hard on the Monday morning after last week. We'll watch it back and improve."

Boos from the home fans on the whistle, and Kieran McKenna was straight over to address referee Tim Robinson inside the centre circle.

His frustrations lie with the decision to show Kalvin Phillips a second yellow, and how Ipswich will feel they should have been awarded a foul just prior to Jordan Ayew's goal. I think the officials got both decisions right.

Leicester fans in the away end are celebrating the result like a win.

"We worked hard, we suffered a lot but at the end no points. Very disappointed. Very happy for my first goal in the Premier League but three points would have been more important to me.

"We had control in the first half, we created chances. Second half I don't think we played enough from the back. The pressing was little bit less. We tried to defend as a team with everything we had. We worked hard but unfortunately it didn't fall for us.

"We had opportunities to make it 2-0 but that's football. If you don't score the other team will punish you."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez to BBC Match of the Day: "It is a great performance. We stuck to the plan and worked really hard."

On his two assists: "It finally came. I am working on crosses and improving, so I am happy I could get two today."

On the key to beating Manchester City: "We tried to keep the ball to give us the energy to attack. Everyone went hard into the duels. we respect Man City but when you are on the pitch we are not friends."
