  1. CLOSE!published at 12:59 British Summer Time 12 April

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield United

Argyle close to opening the scoring.

A superb long throw from Kornel Szucs is flicked on and almost finds Ryan Hardie who would have had a tap-in at the back post but some last-ditch defending sees the Blades clear for another throw-in.

From it, the ball comes back to Argyle captain Adam Randell who blasts over the bar from range.

  2. Postpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 2-1 Preston

Leeds are moving the ball around so quickly when they get into the final third and Preston are having to work very hard to keep them at bay.

The visitors do manage to string together a few passes of their own before Jayden Meghoma skips round a couple of challenges on the left and gets a cross away but it's well blocked.

  3. Postpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 2-1 Preston

Preston have only had one shot so far and that was the fine goal scored by Aston Villa loanee Kaine Kesler-Hayden.

Other than that, Leeds are bossing the shot count - five and two on target - and possession (67%).

  4. Postpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 12 April

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield United

Sheffield United are just starting to push their hosts back and Harrison Burrows gets down the left and puts a ball across the face of the area which is well dealt with by Argyle defender Kornel Szucs.

Its fair to say this one hasn't really got going yet though.

  5. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 2-1 Preston

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

It was a tremendous ball into Piroe.

He gets the shot away, but it doesn't quite have the power behind it and it trickles away from the goal.

  6. CLOSE!published at 12:51 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 2-1 Preston

Leeds are looking very dangerous. Joel Piroe drives forward and cuts back on his left foot on the edge of the box before getting a shot away but he just drags it narrowly wide of the post.

  7. Postpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 2-1 Preston

Almost every attack feels like it could lead to a goal after what we've seen early doors here.

Preston win a corner on the right and it's swung in by Robbie Brady as he tries to glare through the bright sunlight but Karl Darlow does well in the Leeds goal to come and claim it.

  8. 'Elland Road smells blood'published at 12:46 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 2-1 Preston

    Alan Kelly
Former Preston keeper on BBC Radio Lancashire

Looking at it defensively, you're allowing the cross to come in and for it to end up in the back of the net.

It looks like a slight miscommunication at the back.

The Elland Road crowd can smell blood and smell more goals in this game.

  9. Postpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 12 April

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield United

A long throw from Kornel Szucs causes a couple of problems in the Sheffield United box but the ball drops kindly for Michael Cooper who gathers comfortably.

Cooper gets a counter attack started quickly and the Blades win their third corner of the game, which comes to nothing.

  10. goal

    Jayden Bogle (13 mins)

Blimey! What on earth is happening at Elland Road?!

Manor Solomon is allowed to twist and turn on the left and work a yard of space to cross.

He whips in an excellent ball and Jayden Bogle comes piling in to bundle it home from close range.

A goal and assist already for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Solomon and we've had three goals in 13 minutes.

  11. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 12 April

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield United

First chance of the game is a tough one.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi whips in a good corner which finds the head of Blades skipper Jack Robinson who under pressure is unable to direct his header and the ball goes harmlessly over for a goal-kick.

  12. Postpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 1-1 Preston

Preston keeper David Cornell claws away a cross-shot from Leeds forward Joel Piroe on the left. It runs to Jayden Bogle on the edge of the box but he can't get any power on his effort and it bobbles harmlessly wide.

  13. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 1-1 Preston

Anyone caught their breath yet? Almost as quick as Leeds took the lead, they were pegged back and we've got a real game on our hands at Elland Road.

The Championship never fails to entertain, does it?

  14. 'Too open on the left'published at 12:39 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 1-1 Preston

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

Kesler-Hayden arrows it straight past Darlow, it's a great finish.

Firpo doesn't do enough for me, he allows him to drift inside too easily, he's got to show him on the outside.

We were far too open on that left-hand side.

  15. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 12 April

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield United

The visitors are, perhaps unsurprisingly, dominating possession in the early stages here.

A long cross from Harry Clarke looks to find Callum O'Hare in the air at the back post but brave defending from Bali Mumba sees the wing-back head clear and win a free-kick for his side inside his own box.

  16. goal

    Kaine Kesler-Hayden (6 mins)

Wow. An instant response by Preston.

Mads Frokjaer-Jensen feeds Kaine Kesler-Hayden on the right and he's got acres to run into in the box before smashing a bullet finish into the far corner with his left foot.

Kesler-Hayden and Manor Solomon with a goal of the game competition, all within the space of the opening six minutes...

    What a start!

  17. 'Tremendous finish'published at 12:37 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 1-0 Preston

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

David Cornell had absolutely no chance, it's a tremendous finish from Manor Solomon.

They gave Solomon too much space and he really showed his quality there.

Lift off for Leeds! We were just saying the Whites love a fast start and boy have they got one here!

Preston have barely touched the ball so far and Leeds work it well on the edge of the box to Manor Solomon but he still has a lot to do.

He opens his body and curls an absolute beauty into the far corner from 20 yards out.

  19. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 12 April

    Leeds 0-0 Preston

Leeds like to start games quickly and have scored 12 goals in the first 15 minutes of matches so far this season.

Daniel Farke and 30-odd thousand inside Elland Road would love another early goal this afternoon, no doubt...

The Whites are just settling in with an early spell of possession.

  20. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 12 April

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheffield United

Good start from the visitors who are looking to settle a Home Park crowd which is absolutely bouncing at the beginning of this one.

A good ball down the right hand side from Harry Clarke gets Jesurun Rak-Sakyi to the bar-line and the Palace loanee wins the first corner of the game which is well dealt with by Argyle keeper Conor Hazard who confidently punches clear.
