Ollie Tanner came on to set up fellow substitute Callum Robinson to score Cardiff's equaliser in their derby draw at Swansea last weekend.

Winger Tanner is on as a half-time sub against Middlesbrough, having been told by his manager Erol Bulut this week that he needs to lose weight to earn a regular starting place.

  6. League One and Two updatepublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 31 August

Rotherham v Huddersfield match actionImage source, Rex Features

It was a busy first half in Leagues One and Two.

It's been a goalless but tense encounter between Rotherham and early pacesetters Huddersfield in League One with Town defender Tom Lees seeing his header drift over the bar just before the half-time whistle.

It's 1-1 between Blackpool and Wycombe in League One and Port Vale and Doncaster are also level at 1-1 in League Two.

    Meanwhile Gillingham lead Chesterfield 1-0.

  7. Postpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 31 August

    HT: Coventry 0-0 Norwich

    Chris Goreham
Norwich City commentator on BBC Radio Norfolk

It's been one of those nearly, but not quite, first halves of football for both sides.

  8. 'Fantastic local derby'published at 13:22 British Summer Time 31 August

    HT: Burnley 1-1 Blackburn

    Steve Thompson
BBC Radio Lancashire summariser & former Blackpool assistant manager

Both sides have started this game very well.

    It's gone from end-to-end.

A fantastic local derby with some solid tackles going in.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 31 August

    Cardiff 0-0 Middlesbrough

And there goes the half-time whistle.

Nothing to separate these two so far, with both teams struggling to create any clear chances.

Boro have shown flashes of their intent to get the ball quickly through the phases but without any end product, while the Bluebirds have played some nice long balls out to the wings but again without creating much.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 31 August

    Coventry 0-0 Norwich

Nothing between these two sides at the break.

Decent chances for Coventry to take the lead but they have been unable to so far.

Norwich grew into the half but couldn't create a decent enough chance to threaten Oliver Dovin's goal.

Second half to come. Improvement needed.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 31 August

    Burnley 1-1 Blackburn

    What a half of football.

It's honours even as it stands in the east Lancashire derby.

Lyle Foster's 10th-minute header gave Burnley the lead but Andi Weimann's thumping long range volley got Blackburn back in it.

Rovers will feel slightly hard done by that Tyrhys Dolan's effort shortly after was chalked off for offside and, having seen the replay, I'm not sure exactly who was in an offside position to cause that decision to be made.

Regardless, it's still a cracking encounter for the neutral, and a belter of a second half is still to come.

  12. Postpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 31 August

    Cardiff 0-0 Middlesbrough

There have just been a few moments in this half where Cardiff keeper Ethan Horvath has taken one extra touch and invited on a bit of pressure.

On this occasion, Delano Burgzorg charges him down and blocks the clearance, which goes out behind for a goal kick.

Harmless in the end but a few grumbles from fans who haven't seen much from their side yet.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 31 August

    Coventry 0-0 Norwich

One of the stranger yellow cards I've seen given.

Joel Latibeaudiere is into the book for nudging a Coventry physio off the pitch.

  14. Postpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 31 August

    Coventry 0-0 Norwich

    Darren Kenton
    Former Norwich City defender

It's unfortunate for Norwich's Jack Stacey.

It was a great attacking move but the ball just bobbled up in-front of him and he couldn't quite get the it in stride.

  15. Postpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 31 August

    Coventry 0-0 Norwich

It's now Norwich's turn to counter attack as they work the ball nicely from Amankwah Forson to Jack Stacey who runs through on goal but he is unable to control a pass and the move breaks down.

  16. Postpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 31 August

    Cardiff 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff fans are furious with the way David Webb is refereeing this game.

Bluebirds centre-back Jesper Daland has been booked for a trip on Tommy Conway - but the home supporters are incensed their striker Wilfried Kanga hadn't been given a free-kick in the build-up to that move after he was pulled to the ground by Matt Clarke.

They have a point, in fairness, though they've had little to get excited about.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 31 August

    Burnley 1-1 Blackburn

Three yellow cards in this game.

Burnley debutant Hannibal Mejbri goes into the book - and joins Blackburn's Lewis Travis and Makhtar Gueye in being shown the yellow card - for a foul on Gueye.

Not long left in the first half, now.

  18. Postpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 31 August

    Cardiff 0-0 Middlesbrough

Jesper Daland is down again for the Bluebirds, he appeared to hurt himself in that early challenge with Boro attacker Tommy Conway.

The Norwegian defender is replaced, with Dimitrios Goutas coming on in his place.

  19. Postpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 31 August

    Burnley 1-1 Blackburn

Another flowing set of passes from Burnley.

Lucas Pires whips a low ball into the Blackburn box but the visitors clear their lines.

  20. League One and Two updatepublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 31 August

It's all happening in Leagues One and Two.

Blackpool pressure has paid off as they equalise at 1-1 against Wycombe after forward Kyle Joseph got his head onto a corner kick and blasted it into the far corner.

Meanwhile, there's been a big save from Hudderfield goalkeeper Lee Nicholls! Rotherham striker Jonson Clarke-Harris watched his strike fly wide after Nicholls put his right hand to good use to keep it out of the back of the net.

Port Vale have equalised in League Two after Ryan Croasdale exploited a gap in the middle of the pitch to make it 1-1 against Doncaster Rovers.

Chesterfield still trail Gillingham by a goal.
