  1. 'One of the better tournaments I've seen'published at 22:53 British Summer Time 12 April

    Andrew Magee
PGA Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

I think these guys are exhausted. This is fun for these top players.

They’ve all been asking for LIV and the PGA Tour to get together and all battle it out for the majors and we’re seeing that.

This is fun for us and this is one of the better tournaments I’ve seen.

  2. Postpublished at 22:50 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -10, Conners -8 (14)

Bosh. Cracking drive from Rory McIlroy down the par-five 15th.

He'll have plenty of options when he gets down there.

  3. McIlroy makes par as Conners misses for birdiepublished at 22:48 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -10, Conners -8 (14)

Soft hands from Rory McIlroy as he dances a bump and run from off the back of the 14th green tight to the hole.

A safe par and a sigh of relief for the leader.

Can Corey Conners take advantage of his second shot?

No! He's fluffed the putt and stays two back.

  4. 'You're joking me'published at 22:47 British Summer Time 12 April

    Rose -6, DeChambeau -7 (13)

Justin Rose is fuming as his birdie putt on 13 sets off bang on line but takes a dramatic turn away from the hole in the closing few rolls - and he can't believe it.

That was a great chance to get back in business but he has to settle for a par, as does Bryson DeChambeau who will also be in a spot of disbelief after making five when stood on the fairway with just a seven iron at most in hand for his second shot.

  5. Birdies for Scheffler and Hattonpublished at 22:46 British Summer Time 12 April

    Scheffler -5, Hatton -4 (15)

    Oh yes Tyrrell Hatton!

Having watched Scottie Scheffler nudge in close, he has a bump and run of his hand to judge - and he does it brilliantly.

A very well earned birdie for the Englishman.

Scheffler tucks in too. A productive hole for this duo.

  6. Postpublished at 22:45 British Summer Time 12 April

    Scheffler -4, Hatton -3 (14)

Now where has that gone for Scottie Scheffler on 15?

His second, presumably hoping for the green, has dropped into the patrons off to the right.

He's got himself a lie though and clips it out really nicely.

Chance of a birdie for the world number one.

  7. Postpublished at 22:43 British Summer Time 12 April

    Rose -6, DeChambeau -7 (12)

Bryson DeChambeau absolutely thundered his drive off the 13th tee and was left with just a short iron in to the par five, but he's boomed it well over the back and into an awful position where he can only chop it onto the green to leave a much longer birdie try that he'd have wanted.

  8. Postpublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -10, Conners -8 (13)

The flag is through those trees somewhere for Rory McIlroy and he picks up a wedge and goes for it.

Sweet connection, but probably too sweet as it heads over the top and into the patrons quietly minding their own business behind the green.

Cue plenty of scurrying and seats being moved to the side.

    Golfing royalty coming through.

Meanwhile, Corey Conners is lobbing in a tremendous approach to set up a birdie chance.

  9. Welcome birdie for Lowrypublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 12 April

    McCarty -6 Lowry -7 (14)

Shane Lowry goes flag hunting on 14 and knocks his approach to 10 feet, rolls in the putt and picks up a welcome birdie.

It feels like not much has dropped for him today but he's well in the picture still.

  10. Postpublished at 22:39 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -10, Conners -8 (13)

Some confusion as to where Rory McIlroy's ball at 14 has ended up.

Looks like he has screwed it left off the tee and there's some patrons down there digging around in the trees to find it.

No such issues for Corey Conners who flights his ball textbook down the middle.

  11. Timely birdie for McIlroypublished at 22:35 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -10, Conners -8 (13)

A first birdie in eight holes for Rory McIlroy gives him a bit of breathing space at the top of the leaderboard.

  12. Postpublished at 22:33 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -9, Conners -8 (12)

Back to the edge of a greenside bunker at the 13th, Rory McIlroy's got his feet in place and takes aim.

It's well executed and pulls up four feet from the hole.

    He'll have that for birdie.

  13. Postpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 12 April

    Scheffler -4, Hatton -3 (14)

Scottie Scheffler is in a different zip code on the 14th green but that's a finely executed putt to get it up to the hole.

Not a birdie, but a par to stay at four under.

  14. Bogey for Brysonpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 12 April

    Rose -6, DeChambeau -7 (12)

Bryson DeChambeau can't make another sand save on 12 after finding the front trap and that costs him a bogey.

Justin Rose hit the dancefloor off the tee but didn't make the most of it - his putting has been a big letdown today.

  15. Aberg on the movepublished at 22:27 British Summer Time 12 April

    Aberg -6 (16)

If you've backed Ludvig Aberg this week, you'll be delighted to know he's shoved himself well into contention.

The Swedish superstar-in-the-making knocks in three birdies on the bounce (London buses and all that) to zoom up to a share of fourth place.

Aberg joins Rose, McCarty, Day and Lowry on six under par.

  16. McCarty birdie alert!published at 22:26 British Summer Time 12 April

    McCarty -6 Lowry -6 (13)

    Matt McCartyImage source, Getty Images

Matt McCarty makes a birdie! You know what, we joke, but he's made 12 straight pars and then rolls in a birdie on 13 and hasn't dropped a single shot today.

For someone on his Masters debut that's some going.

  17. Postpublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -9, Conners -8 (12)

What a daft question. Of course Rory McIlroy has gone for it.

It takes a couple of bounces on the green, rolls off the back and nestles right on the edge of the bunker.

It'll be an interesting stance but he's definitely in the conversation for getting a shot back here.

  18. Postpublished at 22:21 British Summer Time 12 April

    McIlroy -9, Conners -8 (12)

Yesterday on hole 13, Rory McIlroy made an insane eagle from the pine straw.

He's blasted his drive down there again but this time it finds the second cut.

What price him going for it here?

  19. Rose in reversepublished at 22:19 British Summer Time 12 April

    Rose -6, DeChambeau -8 (11)

    Justin RoseImage source, Getty Images

They say playing golf mirrors life in some ways, as sometimes it's just not fair - and on the 11th Justin Rose hasn't done too much wrong with a brave and well executed second leaving a hugely difficult chip.

He plays that nicely as well but can only race it 12 feet past, and from there he misses the par save and drops another shot.

  20. Who will be leading after round three?published at 22:17 British Summer Time 12 April

Right then, two thirds into this round and it's thumbs time.

In an hour and a half or so, will Rory McIlroy be leading the Masters going into the final round?

    You decide.
