  1. Flying start for Europepublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 2UP (2)

Wry smile for Celine Boutier as she's made to wait for her birdie putt at the first and then hangs it right.

It's still enough though as Lilia Vu cannot convert for par.

Europe go two up in this match.

  2. Henseleit misses birdie chancepublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull A/S (4)

Charley Hull lands her tee shot in a good position on the green at the fourth leaving Esther Henseleit with a birdie putt to win the hole.

Henseleit slouches forward in frustration after it rolls wide. That was a good chance for Europe to go one up in match two.

  3. Postpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (4)

The par-five fifth is a genuine par five this morning, with both teams playing it as a three-shotter. Carlota Ciganda takes Europe's third from 134 yards out and it's a blinder stuck to no more than eight feet.

  4. Europe up and runningpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 14 September

    Saturday foursomes: Corpuz/Korda v Ciganda/Pedersen 2UP (4); A/S Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull (3); 1UP Coughlin/Thompson v Hall/Stark (2); Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 1UP (1)
  5. Postpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 1UP (1)

Celine Boutier's tee shot is right off the tee and in some sloping rough but Anna Nordqvist has a good lie and profits, crunching out to 10 feet for a birdie chance.

That looks extra tempting given Lilia Vu and Sarah Schmelzel are stuck in a fairway bunker.

  6. Postpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull A/S (3)

Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit both keeping their powder dry at the moment with some relatively conservative strokeplay to make par on the third.

Ally Ewing has a birdie putt but overcooks it and has to settle for par.

  7. 'It's 0-0' - Lewispublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 14 September

US captain Stacy Lewis cut a relaxed figure at the start of the foursomes. I guess that's hardly a surprise after how yesterday went.

"I would say we're going to have some more fun," she said. "I told them last night, it's 0-0 [and] we've got to go back to work, but they're having a lot of fun in the process and that's always going to bring us some good golf."

On the atmosphere at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club: "Safe to say we're packed this morning and this place is rocking. We're going to need them today and just got to keep using that energy."

  8. Lexi puts red on the boardpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 14 September

    1UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (2)

Lexi Thompson with the putter - often her Achilles heel but not on the second hole here as she pours one in for a birdie and the hole.

To be fair, the long ones have never really been too much of a problem.

  9. Europe take lead in bottom matchpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 1UP (1)

Rocky set of putts from this group as first Lilia Vu leaves it short and then Sarah Schmelzel pulls her par effort off the lip.

Schmelzel then concedes Europe are in for par and that's a second splash of blue on the board early on.

  10. Postpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (4)

It definitely is a putting contest at the fourth as both nelly Korda and Emily Pedersen land their tee shots just short of the green on the par three.

It's a run-off area that's like a carpet so no problems putting from here - each team has about 12 feet and both teams fail to convert.

  11. Henseleit & Hull back levelpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull A/S (2)

A brilliant bunker shot from Esther Henseleit at the second hole leaves Charley Hull with a comfortable putt for par, which she sinks.

Jennifer Kupcho and Ally Ewing bogey the hole which allows Europe to get back on level terms in match two.

  12. Korda two downpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (3)

Nelly Korda is left with a lengthy putt to try and salvage something on the third hole but she's nowhere near really and this as-yet unbeatable foursomes duo find themselves two down early on.

  13. Level at the firstpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 14 September

    Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall A/S (1)

All square after the first thanks to Lexi Thompson tapping in a short putt for a four. Lexi's traditionally been shaky on the short putts so that's a nice settler.

I'm still not sure about putting with a glove on though...thoughts?

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist (12:41 BST)

Terrific start from Anna Nordqvist as she laces it down the middle of the fairway.

The noise for Lilia Vu is deafening as she hits the final tee shot of the morning session and also finds the short stuff.

  15. 'Yesterday is history' - Pettersenpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 14 September

As if on cue, here is Suzann Pettersen speaking to Sky Sports:

"These girls want to come out and prove themselves. Yesterday is history. Let's just try and have a good start early today We need it and the girls know it.

"This is electric. We're not even going to try and fight this atmosphere on the first tee."

"We've got to bring our best. We need our best. We need balls to roll in, but like I said we have to start with the first tee shot, first match and we take it from there.

"We can't get ahead of ourselves. Take it match by match, and really give it our all."

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist (12:41 BST)

"I Get Knocked Down, I Get Up Again" by Chumbawumba is blasting out at the first tee.

Nothing could be more apt for Europe after yesterday's beating.

Is that enough to get Suzann Pettersen dancing? It could become a European anthem if today goes as she is planning.

  17. Another Nordqvist masterclass?published at 12:40 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist (12:41 BST)

    Anna NordqvistImage source, Getty Images

Rookie Sarah Schmelzel was fantastic for America yesterday, winning in both sessions and she reunites with Lilia Vu, who she was alongside for the foursomes.

However, Europe's Anna Nordqvist was exceptional in the afternoon alongside Madelene Sagestrom to comprehensively win 6&5 in the fourballs.

The 37-year-old has nine Solheim Cups on her resume and, alongside Celine Boutier, she will be targeting another point for Europe.

  18. Postpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist (12:41 BST)

Our final group is ambling onto the first tee, American's Lilia Vu and Sarah Schmelzel waving their arms, Celine Boutier and Anna Nordqvist a picture of concentration.

Four points were won by players in this match on Friday - who will take the spoils in a few hours' time?

  19. Hull misses early puttpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 14 September

    1UP Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull (1)

Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit both play decent wedges to get out of the sand on the first hole in match two.

It leaves Hull with a makeable putt to halve the hole, but it kisses the lip and the Englishwoman rolls her eyes in frustration.

Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho go one up.

  20. Match three off the teepublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 14 September

    Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall

Georgia Hall pumps her drive through the fairway and just into the rough - adrenaline powered that one.

Lauren Coughlin finds the short stuff. Interestingly she's a rookie here this week but at 31 is two years older than her playing partner Lexi Thompson, who is appearing in her seventh!
