    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (7)

A bit more like it from Nelly Korda, who knocks a wedge in nice and close for the third shot on the par five. The par fives where USA have made big gains so far.

  2. Magic Majapublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 14 September

    1UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (6)

Maja Stark with a piece of magic out of the bunker on the sixth ends up helping Europe to win the hole and cut the lead again down to just one.

It's getting a bit fruity out in the crowd now at the Solheim Cup. Team USA have a big lead but have to be careful not to slip up here.

And the European fans will go bananas if the visitors can pull this back.

Bet they're glad they didn't split after Friday's frustrations.

    I'll get my coat!

  4. Nordqvist and Boutier in conmmandpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 4UP (5)

And Anna Nordqvist is extending her lead at the sixth as well, thanks to some tremendous approach play - and some wayward shots from the Americans.

They set up two putts to win the hole and only need one as Celine Boutier casually rolls in.

    Four up through five.

Europe's Anna Nordqvist is the hottest player on the course right now.

Along with partner Madelene Sagstrom, she won the final six holes to win their fourball on Friday.

And, with Celine Boutier this morning, she won the first three holes - albeit helped by some sketchy Sarah Schmelzel putting.

That's easily the longest such streak at the Solheim Cup over the past 10 years.

The longest streak at the Ryder Cup since 1985 is eight in a row, by Scottie Scheffler in 2021.

We're only just starting to get images through of the day's play. I rather liked this one of Ally Ewing teeing off earlier.

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (7)

Europe stay two ahead thanks to one of the longest two-putts they'll have all week at Robert Trent Jones GC from the back of the seventh.

Good teamwork though as Carlota Cigana manages to cosy it down there for a mile away and Emily Pedersen finishes it off to ensure they maintain their lead.

  8. Now we have a contestpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 14 September

    Saturday foursomes: Corpuz/Korda v Ciganda/Pedersen 2UP (6); Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull 1UP (6); 2UP Coughlin/Thompson v Hall/Stark (5); Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 3UP (4)
  9. Hull & Henseleit get noses in frontpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull 1UP (6)

The atmosphere is distinctly more subdued out on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club at the moment - all that whooping, hollering and brash chanting of 'U-S-A, U-S-A' has dissipated somewhat.

Ally Ewing fluffs a putt for par on the sixth which allows Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit to go one up.

  10. Thompson two in frontpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 14 September

    2UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (5)

Even in foursomes, Lexi Thompson is a problem on the par fives, and she finishes off the hole with the birdie putt to restore their two-hole lead.

  11. Postpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 3UP (4)

Putting contest at the fourth in the final match. Celine Boutier goes first after Anna Nordqvist pushed her shot out of the sand but her ball turns at the last minute to stay up.

I wonder if the pep talk has worked for Sarah Schmelzel. She takes her time over the putt but misses to the right. No gleeful dancing this time. Halved hole.

  12. All happeningpublished at 13:29 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (6)

It's all happening on six! Nelly Korda almost holes out from the bunker for a three, but the door is still open for Emily Pedersen to win it with her putt but she burns the left edge of the hole again.

Another chance gone begging for Europe to extend their lead - and you can't help thinking Korda will make them regret it.

  13. What Europe wantedpublished at 13:28 British Summer Time 14 September

    Saturday foursomes: Corpuz/Korda v Ciganda/Pedersen 2UP (6); A/S Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull (5); 1UP Coughlin/Thompson v Hall/Stark (4); Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 3UP (3)
  14. Postpublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 3UP (3)

Heart in mouth for Celine Boutier as her tee shot on the par-three fourth hits the green but spins back through the rough and disappears down the slope. There's water there but it's in the bunker.

A chance then for Sarah Schmelzel to find the green and chip away at Europe's lead. Unfortunately for the USA, she's screwed it left and will leave partner Lilia Vu also contending with sand for the second shot.

US captain Stacy Lewis walks to the green with Schmelzel, clearly trying to cheer up her rookie.

  15. Give us 'more passion'!published at 13:24 British Summer Time 14 September

    Steve Sutcliffe

Ulf, Helen are from Gothenburg, while Katarina and Anders have driven up from North Carolina after moving over to the United States from Sweden.

And they are hoping to see Europe make more of a fight of things today.

“They have started quite well today and need to keep going to make it more interesting going into Sunday,” says Anders.

“We’d like to see a little more passion from Europe, they looked a little nervous and like they were trying to stay too calm,” adds Katarina, who lets out a huge cheer as Georgia Hall knocks in a putt to win the fourth hole against Lexi Thompson and Lauren Coughlin.

  16. Stripe showpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (5)

Europe again are just striping the ball in this top match - Emily Pedersen has hit a booming drive down the fairway to leave Carlota Ciganda with 131 yards in.

The Spaniard sticks it to eight feet with Team USA stuck in the front bunker.

  17. Three up through three for Europepublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 3UP (3)

Up at the third, Celine Boutier leaves her approach in the fringe and Anna Nordqvist, as is her style, takes out a putter. She gives it a rattle downhill but it's off line and scoots a good four feet past.

Two-time major champ Lilia Vu has the opportunity to trim Europe's lead from 12 feet but no. Celine Boutier tidies up to pile pressure back on to Sarah Schmelzel.

Every putt dropped for her yesterday but she's kissed the lip too. A commanding lead for Europe after three holes.

  18. Hall cuts the gappublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 14 September

    1UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (4)

Georgia Hall has had nothing to smile about in this Solheim Cup so far, but she's got a grin on her face after sinking the birdie putt that wins the hole for Europe and cuts the gap to just one.

  19. Missed chance!published at 13:13 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (5)

Nelly Korda breathes a huge sigh of relief as Emily Pedersen burns the left edge of the hole with a seven-foot birdie putt that would have put Europe three ahead in this one.

The world number one is on the ropes here but Europe need to take every chance to try and find the knockout blow.

  20. Three-putt for Europepublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 14 September

    2UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (3)

Two things you hate doing in foursomes - making bogeys and three-putting. Georgia Hall and Maja stark have just done both to hand the hole to the Americans to double their lead.
