  1. Europe still ahead - justpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 1UP (11)

Nelly Korda has a wobbly downhill putt for the win on 11 - but she's only tickled it down the hill and it doesn't reach.

There's a tester for Carlota Ciganda though from three feet, which she takes her time with, as usual, but it pays off as she sinks it.

It's funny how momentum can shift.

Has been all blue so far in this session but ever since we said there was little noise around the golf course (14:16), cheers have really started to reverberate around this pretty corner of Virginia.

Maybe our oracle Peter Scrivener (14:11) was on to something when he spotted how USA got moving on this section yesterday.

  3. 'Knew Europe would be out for revenge' - Presselpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 14 September

Team USA assistant captain Morgan Pressel has been talking to Sky Sports:

"We're trying to get the crowd revved up out here. We knew it was going to be tough. Yesterday was an absolute dream day. You've got to keep fighting the whole way round. It's more than just one day in this competition.

"We knew Europe was going to come out for a bit of revenge today."

And this is where our first match is heading...

    11th hole

There are some superb vantage points all around this magnificent course and there’s no exception on the 11th, which is more than viewable from the side of the10th green or any one of several nearby hill tops.

Unlike Finca Cortesin in Spain 12 months ago there is no need to ferry any of the players by buggies from one hole to the next with a bridge across the water at the back of the 12th also preventing a significant detour.

  5. Thompson two ahead againpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 14 September

    2UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (8)

Maja Stark misses a short one, Lexi Thompson doesn't, and now the USA are two ahead in this match and the tide could just be turning here with our old friend momentum starting to build in the home side's favour.

  6. Ewing nabs birdiepublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull 2UP (9)

Esther Henseleit rolls in a 15-foot putt for par at the ninth to make amends for her tee shot into the bunker.

However, the American duo nab the hole after Ally Ewing putts for birdie to claw one back.

Europe still two up in match two of the foursomes, though.

  7. Here comes Nelly...published at 14:23 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 1UP (10)

Europe can't get up and down from the sand on the 10th and Nelly Korda takes advantage by sinking the birdie putt, winning the hole, and cutting the lead to just a hole.

And the back nine is where America do a lot of their damage...

  8. More people, less noisepublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 14 September

    Steve Sutcliffe
    BBC Sport in Virginia

On Friday it felt like I could hear a huge cheer in the distance from wherever I was stationed on the course.

Today, despite there being far more fans on the course, that has not been the case which underlines just how well Europe have started in the foursomes.

The big question is whether they can maintain that over the back nine, where they fell away dramatically 24 hours ago.

  9. Postpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (9)

The short par-four 10th will be another source of great excitement today - with no other really good option other than to go for the green.

Emily Pedersen powers her effort into the front bunker, then Nelly Korda comes up just short of the green but in a great position to get up-and-down for a three.

    Advantage America.

  10. Blue chargepublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 14 September

    Saturday foursomes: Corpuz/Korda v Ciganda/Pedersen 2UP (9); Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull 3UP (8); 1UP Coughlin/Thompson v Hall/Stark (7); Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 4UP (6)
  11. Henseleit & Hull in controlpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull 3UP (8)

Two booming shots down the fairway from Charley Hull and Esther Henseleit get the pair off to a good start on the ninth.

Hull's iron on the green is good to leave Henseleit with a birdie chance. However, she does not have to take it as Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho concede after a messy bogey.

The European pair are firmly in control of match two of the foursomes.

  12. US stronger on back ninepublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 14 September

    Peter Scrivener
    BBC Sport in Virginia

While I don't want to be negative at this point in proceedings, it's probably worth pointing out that the US dominated Europe on the back nine in Friday's foursomes.

Korda and Corpuz went on a run of three successive hole wins to close out the top match, as did Coughlin and Zhang in match two.

Pedersen and Stark were left hanging on for their win that went down 18, while Schmelzel and Vu won three holes in five to seal the bottom match.

So, a great start for the Europeans but the US will be inspired by what they did yesterday.

  13. Europe 2UP at the turnpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (9)

Carlota Ciganda faces 'one of those' on the ninth but it's a confident stroke from the Spaniard to halve the hole and send Europe into the back nine still two ahead.

Nelly Korda has been a shadow of herself today, but the back nine is where America have flourished so far...

  14. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 4UP (6)

First par of the day for the Americans in the final match as Lilia Vu tidies up.

It stems the bleeding but Europe in command here.

  15. Postpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 14 September

    1UP Thompson/Coughlin v Stark/Hall (7)

Maja Stark is left with a nervy one for the half, but she's equal to it and they walk off the seventh with Team USA still one ahead.

  16. USA captain concerned with top matchpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (8)

Stacy Lewis has turned up at this top match, she's obviously worried about he star pairing losing - but the skipper inspires Allisen Corpuz who sticks her tee shot in close.

Carlota Ciganda pulled hers so Europe are miles away.

In fairness, while the Europeans are playing fine golf in the last match out, the Americans are playing dreadfully at the moment.

Five bogeys in five holes and Lilia Vu scrunched her approach at the sixth so that it comes up way short of the green.

An invitation for Anna Nordqvist to knock it onto the dancefloor, which she graciously accepts.

  18. Postpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 14 September

    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda 2UP (8)

Carlota Ciganda in a position you never want to be in, as she hits a really nice putt that just pulls up short, but is on the exact same line as Allisen Corpuz.

So the American gets the perfect read, but still can't make it and the USA stay two down in this one.

  19. Henseleit & Hull on the chargepublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 14 September

    Ewing/Kupcho v Henseleit/Hull 2UP (7)

You can hear cowbells - the calling card of European fans - ringing out on various parts of the course now.

Charlie Hull and Esther Henseleit make a disciplined par on the seventh, but the USA find it tougher going.

Jennifer Kupcho drags her approach shot on to the green wide leaving Ally Ewing with work to do. Kupcho ends up with a tricky putt to save par, but she misses.

Hull and Henseleit go two up!

  20. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 14 September

    Vu/Schmelzel v Boutier/Nordqvist 4UP (5)

Fun fact: The bananas have been following Anna Nordqvist since 2009 and will be very much enjoying the Solheim veteran's performance.

Ten wins in her past 11 holes proves she's not monkeying around here.

    (Sorry)
