    Corpuz/Korda v Pedersen/Ciganda (12:05 BST)

If it ain't broke....There's no way Stacy Lewis was going to mess with this lead-off pairing after they became the first American pairing to win three foursomes matches in a row yesterday.

Emily Pedersen was 1-1 yesterday and although Carlota Ciganda lost her match she's a proven matchplay specialist - and both Europeans are scrappers. This could be a fiery contest.

The LPGA promised to sort out transport issues that stopped thousands of fans from making it in time for the first tee yesterday.

And those extra buses laid on have worked. The first tee is rammed 30 minutes before play is due to get under way.

It’s now all about getting the fans coordinated to chant ‘U-S-A’… what else… they’re still largely getting drowned out by a DJ screaming ‘make some noise!’

Yesterday morning, the first tee was emptier than it should have been after transport problems left thousands of spectators waiting to get to Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.

The LPGA apologised for the delays and made some changes this morning to address them.

    Here's what the statement promised:

    • Gates to open at 05:30 ET with buses running 04:30 to better accommodate early arrivals
    • Significantly increase the number of shuttle buses and develop more efficient loading and unloading processes
    • Volunteers to park at a separate location, with their own dedicated shuttles, to ease congestion for spectators

Just looking at the massed hordes surrounding a dark first tee box, it seems as though the changes have made a difference. Significantly louder this morning too.

Right then, here's what we've got first up this morning, with Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz unsurprisingly first out for Team USA.

This pair are now 3-0 in foursomes and look unbeatable - so it's some task awaiting Carlota Ciganda and Emily Pedersen. Notably they're two of the more feisty matchplayers in the European team.

No Leona Maguire again, who lost badly yesterday but had previously played in all 10 matches available in her two Solheim Cups - and won seven of them!

Watch out for Anna Nordqvist who was spectacular in the fourballs yesterday.

European captain Suzann Pettersen knows it's an even bigger task she has on her hands than last year's comeback, but she still believes they can do it:

“We were faced with quite a big challenge last year. We have done it before and we can do it again. It’s going to take a massive effort but I know we can do it.

“We gave a good effort but the Americans played great. I feel like they had all the putts rolling their way and I don’t feel like we’ve had any momentum.

"We have a massive job ahead of us [but] anything is possible. Last year was a good example. It took a lot out of us to get the job done from where we started but there are so many points left to play for.”

Unsurprisingly the USA have four players who won two out of two matches yesterday - led of course by the brilliant world number one Nelly Korda.

Rookie pair Lauren Coughlin and Sarah Schmelzel also managed to win both matches as well though in a superb debut, with 21-year-old Rose Zhang also producing a perfect session.

It's ugly reading for Europe though with even Charley Hull going 0-2.

Things can only get better, right? Welcome back golf fans and if you're European supporters you're probably approaching today with a sense of trepidation given the USA powered into that 6-2 lead yesterday.

We're glass half full types around here though and Suzann Pettersen knows all too well how to engineer a comeback.

So will we see a blue revival or another red wall on the Solheim Cup scoreboard? Keep it right here to find out...
