Palmer cannot carry this team by himself. This is only his second season playing top tier football. As good as he is, he needs his team-mates to step up, but I don't see a single person in that squad capable of doing it.

I’m sorry to have to say this, but it looks like the Cole Palmer bubble has well and truly burst!

That sums up the last few minutes. Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert escapes the attentions of Bournemouth captain Lewis Cook but his cross goes out of play for a Bournemouth throw - level with the edge of the visitor's 18-yard box.

Has a keeper ever inspired so little confidence? Sanchez decision making is shocking.

There is an out for Leicester down the right-hand side.

Marc Cucurella is the full-back that loves getting forward for Chelsea, so more often than not, he is a little late to get back in there.

That ball over the top is always on for the Foxes and they've done a couple of times through James Justin.

Bilal El Khannouss drives forward through the middle of the pitch and looks left to Victor Kristiansen but his pass is overhit and Robert Sanchez gathers the cross.

Leicester have to make it count when they manage to venture forward.

Must be boring to watch Chelsea play knowing it’s going to be plenty passes but no end product.

It has been frantic and both teams are using so much energy.

Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Vicario and Yves Bissouma have all given the ball away in their own third of the pitch so many times.

    Great tackle.

Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez whips the ball away from Spurs winger Brennan Johnson inside the penalty area with a sliding tackle.

    Perfect timing.

As soon as the penalty was awarded I was almost certain Palmer would miss. He's hasn't scored for ages, very little impact in games and very little involvement in goals. It was only a matter of time before he failed to score from the spot. Palmer is definitely going through a barren spell.

  15. Palmer must be feeling the pressurepublished at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Cole Palmer was famously seen as a player impervious to pressure but even he must be feeling it now.

Ahead of his penalty, Leicester's players successfully managed to delay him taking it and he was forced to re-spot the kick.

That can't have helped as he managed to strike the ball well but goalkeeper Mads Hermansen guessed the right way and made a sensational save.

A combination of luck and pressure means one of the league's most clinical players is not scoring. After all, as manager Enzo Maresca keeps saying, he is "human".

Cole Palmer's penalty wasn't one from someone with a lot of confidence. He went for power over real placement and the goalkeeper does so, so well. It wasn't his best penalty.

Tottenham don't half miss the injured Dejan Kulusevski.

Wth Son Heung-min and James Maddison both on the bench, they look just about functional rather than fluid in possession, at the moment.

Robert Sanchez should never be coming for it. There was no way he was getting it. Levi Colwill is the first one to the rebound and collides with Jamie Vardy.

It's a mess. It really was a mess but Chelsea survive.
