  1. Match two under waypublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Moore/Holmes v Willett/Westwood

"First on the tee representing Europe, Lee Westwood."

Westy was dire yesterday. The right hander is quick up off his strike, fairway. Good start.

"Now on the tee representing Europe, Danny Willett."  Some cheers, very few boos, a handful at most. The Masters champion hits driver and finds the edge of a bunker. He'll be stood in sand hitting a ball above his feet. Not nice.

To JB Holmes, a monster hitter. The beard remains and he looks very similar to playing partner Ryan Moore and they play alike, both hit the fairway.

  2. Rory misses...published at 18:45 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    A/S D Johnson/Koepka v McIlroy/Pieters (1)

Europe have an opening on the first drag of fourball action. Thomas Pieters has a long one from the fringe and knows bucketing it will win the hole. Good stroke, very good, fraction wide. Rory Mclroy is a lot closer in and will fancy this. He catches the left lip and gets nothing. Honours even.

  4. Struggles and a trilogypublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Looking at the list of fourballs, the 18:45 BST match could be a slog. Four men who did little to inspire on Friday. Still, the only way is up as the saying goes.

We complete a trilogy of Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth versus Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson.

Just a point in it folks. Stop biting your nails.

    D Johnson/Koepka v McIlroy/Pieters

Rory McIlroy only needs a wedge after a corking drive on one. Nice control and spin, birdie chance.

  6. Scandal...published at 18:39 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

The lady on the right sports a t-shirt reading: "Brad left Angelina for Rory."

This is news to us, probably news to Brad Pitt too, but in the spirit of the Ryder Cup, let's ponder it.

  7. Eyes down, we go again...published at 18:37 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

If you are just tuning in, this is how it shapes up. Relentless sporting action coming our way from Minnesota. I hope you can feel the passion, pride, energy, raining into your living room.

Match one is on the tee. Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson each drive the ball miles and miles, as do both of their opponents. What's that coming through your living room window? FORE!

    Four balls

And just like that, we switch from foursomes to fourballs. No time for a gap today, it's back on....

  9. 'This is the Ryder Cup'published at 18:32 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    A/S Reed/Spieth v Garcia/Cabrera-Bello

Europe's Sergio Garcia speaks to Sky Sports: "This is the Ryder Cup, it's as simple as that. It was tough out there, they played so well. We were consistent giving ourselves chances but they had an amazing start. We kept saying, keep at it and they may slow down.

"All credit to my partner. I am so happy for him."

Garcia partner Rafa Cabrera-Bello: "We didn't feel we had many options at the beginning, they were just cruising. We had to tell ourselves they would slow down. We saw a window of opportunity, played good and managed to snatch a tie."

They looked dead and buried. That is a great half point they have earned.

    Reed/Spieth half with Garcia/Cabrera-Bello

In it goes from Reed, that was ballsy. Now for Garcia. And if you're wondering what that noise is, it's the Spaniard's knees knocking... well done Sergio, in it goes. Europe halve the match after being four down with six to play and it's the Spaniards who are all smiles walking off the course.

    A/S Reed/Spieth v Garcia/Cabrera-Bello (17)

Right, here's Cabrera-Bello from a long way out and that's a pretty good effort, although it hasn't been conceded... pretty good flop on from Spieth, but you'd rather have Garcia's putt - Europe with three feet left, USA with six...

    A/S Reed/Spieth v Garcia/Cabrera-Bello (17)

Reed into the 18th, and he's missed the green to the right. That's not sitting too pretty, either. Garcia could do with making the short stuff with his second, from 161 yards out... heart of the green, but Cabrera-Bello has a long birdie putt.

It is all to play for in this match. It is amazing these things boil down to a single hole. This is where Europe have traditionally in recent Ryder Cups been so strong. This is pivotal to the outcome of the Ryder Cup.

So, the final match heads down the last and it's Cabrera-Bello to fire first... bang middle, answer that, Jordan... he can't, he's sprayed it right, as is his wont of late...

Incredible, we said the momentum was with Europe and so it has turned out. Incredible putt.

It was amazing, that thing sitting right on the edge from Spieth and they waited the full 10 seconds to see if it would drop.

Spieth misses with a bender in a bun from 30 feet at 17 before Cabrera-Bello rolls in a 10-footer from the apron. Unbelievable scenes, the Spanish pair have come back from four down with six to play. What a win this would be, a potential game-breaker.

    Walker/Z Johnson lost to Rose/Wood 1UP

On the 18th, Walker is preparing to chip on from over the back... just misses the pin and finishes about 12 feet past. Wood has a 15-footer for the match... misses by a whisker and America concede.
