A colleague just said Rory McIlroy has turned into the Incredible Hulk. "He's going to rip his shirt off next". I've seen the word "pumped" used a lot this week, indeed I've written it a fair few times. Right now, McIlroy is the definition of the word.

Reed with his approach at seven and that's a doozy, left himself a few feet for birdie. Rose for birdie at seven, left to right, and he doesn't hit it hard enough. Reed rolls it in, America move two ahead in the bottom match.

Rory McIlroy with the biggest "COME ON," he's mustered this week. That one has come from the tips of his toes, through the belly and just gathered noise along the way. He's celebrating a three on the 10th and in doing so, extinguished some American hope as Brooks Koepka was also in for three. Four up, eight to play. Just keep it straight and true and you're home and dry.

Spieth in the drink off the tee at seven. Stenson thinks he's got away with it as his ball first skips over the creek, only for his ball to decide it fancies a dip after all. Meanwhile, Kaymer puts the pressure on with a fine tee shot at the par-three eighth.

I have seen too many balls sit on the edge and not finish the deal. That finished the deal for the Americans to take a one-up lead in this match and they haven't really dominated. 

We are all exhausted from walking around, it's hot, it's beautiful, and these guys have to keep their mettle for 12 more holes.

That was a very important hole to win, in reality Europe should be ahead in this match. They are playing well and their momentum has changed somewhat now.

Kuchar with a birdie putt at seven but it doesn't drop, Garcia's sweet chip is enough to win the hole. If the lid was rattling, it's now out of its grooves and about to shatter on the floor.

We think, I stress it's not confirmed, that this moment a short while ago saw Rory McIlroy ask for a fan to be ejected. The spectator in question reportedly shouted something not to nice at one of the world's finest golfers. It turns out angering a man of such talent isn't a great idea. McIlroy seemingly on a revenge mission. His pairing move four up after a sublime approach.

Garcia with his second at seven... he's stuck it to within a few inches. Reed at the sixth... HE'S STUCK HIS PITCH IN FOR EAGLE! Deary me, there has been some golf played so far today. Stenson can't match him, the Americans have taken two holes in a row to edge ahead.

That looked so good all the way. We talked about Rory stepping it up, he definitely has done that the last couple of holes. He was very impressive there.

Rory McIlroy is on now. The guy is walking with such pomp, he knows he's running the show. An iron from the fairway lands a foot from the pin. The ball under his spell, he's a wizard placing a curse on Team USA. That should win the hole.
