  1. Soft hands from Hallpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Hall v Lee (3)

Lovely hands from Georgia Hall from a tough side hill lie off the third green, as she chips it up high and lands it softly enough to end up stone dead.

That's enough for a half to stay one ahead.

  2. Zhang back levelpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Maguire v Zhang A/S (6)

Leona Maguire first to putt on six. For a par. Slidey one across the slope. Doesn't drop.

Rose Zhang, from a little bit of a straighter angle. Nailed. 3-3 in terms of holes won and we're back all square.

  3. Putts stay uppublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Dryburgh v Knight A/S (2)

Neither Gemma Dryburgh or Cheyenne Knight can hole their 14ft putts.

A bit of a missed chance for Dryburgh, as she putted second with no pressure.

  4. Postpublished at 11:38 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Grant v Khang 2UP (6)

Linn Grant does well to get a half on the sixth after Megan Khang had fired a hybrid in pretty close off the tee while she was well short with a long iron.

A half it is though and the Swede stays two down.

    1UP Maguire v Zhang (5)

Leona Maguire is putting up about the length of a cricket pitch on six, she's so far away that she's playing before Rose Zhang, who is off the green.

It's a decent effort, maybe a 7/10 from that distance. Pace was good, line a little off and she'll have a six-footer for par.

Zhang from the rough... coming over the corner of a bunker, a 7/10 chip from here as her ball scuttles past the hole to finish six inches inside Maguire. Work to be done there.

    Dryburgh v Knight A/S (1)

Nice wedge to 14ft by Cheyenne Knight on the par-five second is followed to within 12 inches by Gemma Dryburgh.

It is closer when it landed but spins back a couple of feet. A putt-off.

These two play a similarly controlled game. This is unlikely to be the last time they mimic each other today.

  8. Boutier bounces outpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Boutier v Yin (1)

Celine Boutier will have a point to prove against Angel Yin in this match, as she came in as Europe's highest-ranked player on the back of her maiden major victory at the Evian Championship, but has lost both of her matches so far.

She starts in style though with a birdie on the first to take the hole - sticking another bit of blue on the board.

    1UP Maguire v Zhang (5)

Leona Maguire is out with one of her trusty hybrid clubs on the par-three sixth, which is playing 196 yards today.

She finds the front of the green. That would have been perfect yesterday but today's pin is about 20 yards further up the green.

Rosh Zhang's right hand comes off the club as she strikes her ball and a cry of 'fore right' goes up. It's not that bad but is in the rough.

  10. Par fives in match fivepublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Hall v Lee (2)

Pars for both on the second hole as Georgia Hall maintains her advantage over Andrea Lee in match five.

  11. Maguire back in frontpublished at 11:29 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Maguire v Zhang (5)

The second match continues to ebb and flow. Irishwoman Leona Maguire drains another birdie putt to win her third hole of the contest and edge back into the lead.

I predicted this could be a classic and it's delivering so far.

  12. Nordqvist putt slides bypublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Nordqvist v Kupcho A/S (3)

Anna Nordqvist's birdie putt slides past. It was downhill and she had to be careful with that one. Before you know it, you've got five feet coming back.

Jennifer Kupcho made her three and they move on all square.

  13. Nervy putt from Kangpublished at 11:27 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Hull v Kang A/S (4)

Charley Hull is down on her haunches on the fairway of the par-five fourth, watching intently after her ball. She's gone for the green in two, water protecting the front left. It lands on the green, about 10 feet from the hole but skips into the rough. She should be getting up and down in two from there.

Danielle Kang misses front right and chips up to about six feet.

Here's Hull. A delicate stab, the ball trundles up to 18 inches and Kang gives a thumbs up concession of the putt. Can she halve the hole...NO!

Putt slides by. We're back level.

  14. Postpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Nordqvist v Kupcho A/S (2)

Anna Nordqvist fires a lovely iron left of the hole on the short third.

It's 16ft away but that is a chance of a two for the player-vice-captain.

  15. Solid start for Dryburghpublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Dryburgh v Knight A/S (1)

Really good effort by Gemma Dryburgh, just shaves the left side of the hole.

It gives Cheyenne Knight an outside chance of a win but she is a little tentative - perhaps concerned with the slope just past the pin - and it comes up two inches short.

Dryburgh tidies up for four. She is loving it.

  16. Grant well widepublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Grant v Khang 2UP (5)

Linn Grant has just hit possibly her worst putt of the week on the fifth - she's played it four times already so you'd think she'd get a bit closer from eight feet, even a tricky one down the hill.

It never gets within a foot of the hole though and she's still shaking her head as she exits the green with a half after wasting a good chance to win one back.

  17. Postpublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Dryburgh v Knight

Pretty much equidistant after their approaches, but they will be putting from opposite sides of the pin - Cheyenne Knight is one of the few players to hit it past this pin.

Gemma Dryburgh found the familiar front edge spot.

Long putts for three for both, it will be the Scot to go first.

  18. Zhang hits back to levelpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Maguire v Zhang A/S (4)

    Rose ZhangImage source, PA Media

A see-saw match if ever there was one. Not one hole has been halved yet. Rose Zhang gets back level with a short birdie putt on the fourth.

  20. Hall takes the firstpublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Hall v Lee (1)

Georgia Hall gets the first European win at the opening hole with a birdie thanks to a brilliant pitch up the length of the green.

Hall will know she hasn't been at her best this week but looks determined to make a statement today.
