    That is that.

Errors began to creep into Ireland's game as the match wore on - admittedly they also started the half by giving away two pens.

To be a fly on the wall during Joe Schmidt's HT chat.

    Australia 8-6 Ireland

Ireland get a turnover, but fail to make the most of it. It allows Will Genia to collect, whose punt downfield eventually results in an error from Rob Kearney.

Australia have the ball again and attack down the left.

Marika Koroibete is galloping, but the whistle goes - he's still galloping. Stop!!!

He and the team finally realise.

Try - Australia 8-6 Ireland (Bernard Foley)published at 11:47 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

They are so potent on the left. Marika Koroibete finds Will Genia who in turn sends Bernard Foley free.

The number 10 is over, but misses his subsequent conversion from way out left.

    Australia 3-6 Ireland

Australia opting to attack down their right when they've actually had most joy down the left.

Ahh, it's down the left now....

    Australia 3-6 Ireland

Australia turn over and kick almost up to their 22 but Rob Kearney reads the ball and sends it back the other end for an Aussie line-out. The Irish keep the pressure on their hosts.

    Australia 3-6 Ireland

The Irish win a scrum and move the ball to their left.

Bundee Aki produces a great dummy and kick but Australia read it.

Ireland remain about 20 yards out though - can they convert this pressure?

    Australia 3-6 Ireland

All that pressure from the Irish pays off. They have a very penalty in a very scoreable position.

    Carbery makes no mistake.

We have about 13 minutes until the interval and the Irish have the lead.

Australia still look the more likely to score a try.

    Australia 3-3 Ireland

The experienced Keith Earls is on the deck after a heavy clash with Dane Haylett-Petty as he went to collect a kick.

Ireland now have the ball on the right after a great flowing move. Earls tries to kick over Israel Folau, but the Aussie times his block right.

Earls is now off the pitch after his hit to the head.

A busy few moments for the Munster player.

Jacob Stockdale produces a stunning try-saving tackle to prevent the juggernaut Marika Koroibete from going over.

It was a great move by the Aussies in the first place, spreading the ball out to the left.

I feel an Aussie try is coming though.

    Australia 3-3 Ireland

Great play by James Ryan. He drives Aussie Brandon Paenga-Amosa back and pinches the ball, which allows his side to gain yards.

Paenga-Amosa had a decent Super Rugby campaign, but he would have been embarrassed by that. I won't say that to his face.

    Australia 3-3 Ireland

A simple kick and we are level. Ireland have come back well after that early battering.

Australia have the ball though and look dangerous.

    Australia 3-0 Ireland

Such an unlucky bounce for Jacob Stockdale - who was oh so close to collecting the kick from five yards out.

Joey Carbery was taken out but he's shrugged it off.

Ireland have a pen from about 15 yards out - and the no 10 is about to draw the side level.

Ireland win a penalty - but it's nowhere near the posts. James Ryan is now getting a bit of on-field treatment on his shoulders. He's OK.

    It's an Ireland line-out - around the 22.

Conor Murray, who just shaken off a knock, is taken out by Kurtley Beale - big hit. They've all been big hits. It looks painful out there.

I've got some arnica in the bag lads if you need it.

Much better from Ireland. A nice passage of play ends with a Will Genia knock-on. Ireland's Conor Murray seemed to suffer a knock to the head - he received treatment but is fine to carry on.

    Ireland have the scrum.

The Australia's defence is on point so far. Marika Koroibete is leading by example - it'll be hard to get anything past him on the left. And the right.

Bernard Foley slots easily. Poor discipline from the Irish early on. Not the greatest start to the Tests.
