South Africa v England (16:05 BST)

    BBC Radio 5 live

England and Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care on BBC Radio 5 live: "I'm going to be sat here so jealous of the boys running out - it's been great to have a summer off - but once you see them ready to play in a huge game I'm going to be so jealous.

"I'm really excited to see this England team play, I really like who they've picked. I'm excited to see Henry Slade at 13, a left-footed kicker, and he gives them another option in attack. He has the ability to feed a dangerous back three of Eliot Daly, Mike Brown and Jonny May.

"It's also great to see Jamie George getting an opportunity to show what he can do, and also Tom Curry and Nick Isiekwe - they've both had brilliant seasons and they'll make it a dynamic back-row."

    No pressure Eddie

England's matches against the Springboks over the past 12 years have followed a consistent pattern - consistently losing.

The last time they met down south for a series England suffered a 2-0 (plus a draw) defeat.

Former coach Stuart Lancaster's side were fairly competitive though during that campaign, in stark contrast to the previous tour where the two-Test score aggregate was 113-33. Ouch!

Fast forward to 2018. Having enjoyed a remarkable record of one defeat in 27 games up to February, England have not won in the last four games (including one against the Barbarians) - not the ideal lead-up to one of the toughest tours in world rugby.

Having said that, South Africa were twice defeated by Wales recently, and got battered by Ireland last November.

Former flanker Rassie Erasmus was brought in as new coach in March - the question is, will this Springboks side revert back to the good ol' days of a physical, no mercy game or will we see an expansive free-flowing attacking style?

  9. 'We didn't give away many penalties'published at 13:12 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

    Australia 18-9 Ireland

Wallabies captain Michael Hooper: "We're stoked. We knew they would throw a lot of pressure at us.

"They got around us a bit and were good with their chip. We were disciplined. We only gave them three penalties [second half] and not within range of the posts. We've only had six days together and got that win because of attitude.

"It's great to get that win against the number two team in the world - can’t wait until next week."
