England are good at bullying teams, but what about when someone can match you pound for pound?
Matthieu Jalibert
No problems for the 22-year-old fly-half.
He hooks it round with his right foot to put his side a converted try ahead.
England 6-10 France
England don't put up any challenge at the line-out and instead focus on halting the French maul.
It doesn't exactly go to plan as Sam Underhill comes in at the side and gives away another penalty.
Matthieu Jalibert is going for the posts again.
England 6-10 France
Baptiste Couilloud ducks down and as a result Henry Slade's tackle is too high.
Both sides get a well-earned rest as they reset for the penalty before Brice Dulin kicks to the corner.

England are all over the place at the moment, they need to get some control back - maybe go back to the kicking game but execute it well. They just need to get a grip of it.

Andy Roberts: England seem to have a very limited game plan, and they’re not executing it well at all. By contrast, France are playing free rugby and deserve to be ahead. Can’t help thinking that Farrell detracts from England’s attacking play.
England 6-10 France
This doesn't really have the look of a final so far. It's pretty messy from both sides.
England centurion Ben Youngs steps in to calm things down with a kick to touch. France are like an annoying younger sibling. They are not letting England have a second of rest in this match.
England 6-10 France
Henry Slade darts infield and gets England into France's 22.
But Jonny May spills the ball and France steal it on the floor, with Baptiste Couilloud putting up a clearing kick and suddenly England are the ones having to traipse back in defence.
Matthieu Jalibert
Forget Romain Ntamack, it feels like Matthieu Jalibert could be the name on rugby fans' lips after this afternoon.
He nails his kick and France's lead is up to four.

Henry Ellison: Practical, clinical rugby versus exciting, dynamic rugby. Kind of hoping the French win this. Tired of watching the boring brand of rugby from this Autumn.
England 6-7 France
France manage to keep their scrum but Jonathan Danty knocks on.
The assistant referee draws Andrew Brace's attention to a bit of naughtiness from Sam Underhill at the scrum, though. The England flanker kicked the ball out of France 9 Baptiste Couilloud's hands at the scrum.
Matthieu Jalibert will have a go at three points.

England haven't had much control.
France have had the majority of the possession and just edged the territory as well.

I am quite excited to see how England get out of this situation because it is the first time I have seen England strolling about, hands on knees, taking a blow walking back to line-outs - they haven't played a game at this pace. It's exhausting playing at this pace.
England 6-7 France
Cameron Woki steals the ball from Maro Itoje at the line-out and Tom Curry gives chase of the loose ball.
Curry knocks it on and France get a scrum. Impressive work from Woki.

I would like to see England counter a bit more - I know they are sticking to the game plan, but sometimes you have to do something a bit different.
At the moment it is bomb, straight back, bomb, straight back. I know it is the game plan, but it is tough watching.
England 6-7 France
At the breakdown, France do look like a side that have only spent two weeks training together.
They find themselves without a scrum-half at the ruck but manage to recover it and Matthieu Jalibert tries for another moment of magic.
He kicks the ball forward along the floor but no one is after it. England line-out on their own 22.

We have already had a chorus of Sweet Chariot - cut short by Brice Dulin's score - and some hearty jeering of French infringement.
It might only be a 40th of the usual crowd, but it feels like a crowd.

Small Man Peaky: This France team, as young as it is, is at least as powerful as England. England aren't going to be able to dominate them in the tackle. France going to win this.
Ares M: Such a shame the full #France team isn't playing this game. Although the lovely try they've just scored is a great opener.
England 6-7 France
George Ford loops the ball high in the air but Elliot Daly's chase is no good.
Matthieu Jalibert decides to take a leaf out of Ford's book and another kicking contest begins.
Jalibert can't resist for long, though, and tries to run it out of his own 22 before the cooler head of Brice Dulin clears his lines.
England 6-7 France
Matthieu Jalibert is up for this fight for sure. He declines the option to kick ahead and instead barrels into England defenders. The fearlessness of a 22 year old.
England recover the ball and kick to touch just inside France's half. The visitors go short and safe at the line-out but hooker Pierre Bourgarit ends up in touch again.
