The clouds may have rolled in this week, but it's August so we are still clinging on to summer.

There has been plenty to celebrate in sport, with Rovers winning three games in a row, City staying unbeaten and ultimate frisbee players triumphing too.

Of course it was only a week ago today the BBC Proms were coming to a close on their second visit to the city.

There have also been awards, retirements, weddings and special days out to savour.
