A young Guernsey FC side were well beaten as they went down 4-1 at high-flying Chertsey Town in Isthmian League South Central.

Conor Lee's sixth-minute free-kick gave the second-placed hosts an early lead before Jack Griffin equalised from long range midway through the first half.

But Rueben Collins put Chertsey ahead 10 minutes before the break.

Oliver McCoy extended the lead soon after half-time before Gianluca Botti got a fourth after an hour.

Having impressed in a 1-1 draw at leaders Southall on Saturday, Guernsey remain second-from-bottom of the table, external, having drawn four and lost two of their last six matches.

They are still awaiting a second league victory - their only win so far coming on the opening day of the season against Westfield.
