    Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka swings in a corner from the right but good goalkeeping from Andre Onana getting a strong double fist to the ball to punch it away. The Gunners go again down the right wing with Saka crossing but Thomas Partey can't keep the header down.

  4. 'Big call to bring off your captain'published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Man City 2-0 Nottingham Forest

    Jen Beattie
Former Scotland and Man City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is strange that the Forest captain Ryan Yates has come off, unless we missed a niggle or an incident in the first half. Bringing off your captain is a big call.

  5. 'Slot will want more from his players'published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Newcastle 1-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It surprises me that Liverpool have not made a change at the interval. They looked toothless towards the end of the second half. Arne Slot will be wanting more from Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah as well.

    Morgan Rogers (21 mins)

    This is a great goal.

Morgan Rogers picks the ball up on the halfway line and drives forward all the way to the edge of the box. He ships the ball out wide to Ollie Watkins, who lays it back to him.

Rogers then gets the ball out of his feet, on the edge of the box, and curls a beauty into the top corner.

    Excellent.

    Newcastle 1-0 Liverpool

There are no changes at the break. Sixteen of Liverpool's last 19 goals have come in the second half of games so Newcastle have been warned...

Rasmus Hojlund hasn't seen much action up front for United so far and he tries to race on to a long ball forwards but David Raya has a good starting point and is able to sprint out the box and launch the ball upfield.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Manchester City 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Both sides make a switch at the break.

Kyle Walker replaces Manuel Akanji at the back for Manchester City, and Forest bring on Morato for Ryan Yates.

Oooooh the ref has a decision to make as Leon Bailey falls on the edge of the box after going shoulder to shoulder with Vitaly Janelt.

The Villa fans want a penalty, but the ref ends up giving Brentford a free-kick. Looks like Janelt got there first and Bailey caught him.

I don't think that's a fair half time comment. Ignoring the score (big leap) Saints have been strong going forwards, just utterly disgraceful in defence.

  20. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

Bukayo Saka, on the right wing, chops back and swings in a delightful left-footed cross for Arsenal, but Manuel Ugarte does well to clear under pressure.
