If he doesn't get a yellow card, there's something wrong with the game. There was intent there, I don't understand why he wasn't shown a yellow card.

    Oh, here we go.

Daizen Maeda falls under a nudge from Alexander Jensen as they race towards the box.

The Celtic forward bounces up sharply and sprints over to leave a late one on the Dons defender as he clears the ball.

Referee John Beaton is across promptly to defuse any tensions before they boil over.

  3. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 10 August

Kieran Tierney fires a dangerous ball down the channel into the path of Daizen Maeda.

The Japanese international floats one into the box for Adam Idah but Alfie Dorrington gets ahead of him to clear.

I'm a little surprised that Thelin didn't make any changes, but he normally waits until 10 to 15 minutes into the second half.

No changes for either side at the break, by the way.

You too can have your say via the 'Get Involved' box at the top of the page.

Celtic have all the possession but making hard work of it. Idah and Maeda should be switched.

    Don

Celtic need to sharpen up at the front.

Points are crucial to build especially very early in the season. Two very tough fixtures to start for Aberdeen. And you got to wonder what the red army are thinking at the moment. They look way off it

    Archie

Aberdeen are going nowhere until Thelin stops playing hopeless favourites like Nilsen and Jensen and realises that you don't need to play the same formation every game. And what does Polvara need to do to get a start?

I can see what Jimmy Thelin is trying to do by not giving Celtic space to take advantage of. From a shape point of view and not exposing themselves, it's working ok.

The attacks from Celtic through Tierney should have been stopped.

Celtic needs to be much more of a threat through the middle and increase the tempo.

  10. Can Dons find an attacking edge?published at 13:25 British Summer Time 10 August

Aberdeen will welcome the break at the end of the first half Celtic grew in to.

The visitors haven't particularly caught the eye, but as they usually do, they have found a way.

The Dons have been better than they were at Tynecastle last weekend, but the cutting edge in the final third has so far been missing.

That said, it is still all to play for in the second half.

A first assist for Kieran Tierney on his return to Celtic.

Fitting that it was a well-placed cross with that favoured left foot of his.

Celtic are still trying to find that energy level and tempo.

They're keeping good possession but there wasn't a lot of penetration from midfield and beyond.

They're dealing with Aberdeen and that's been the story of the game so far.

I'm not sure that Aberdeen players know what to do when they get into that final third. It's almost like they're getting caught in two minds and giving the ball away.

  14. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 0-1 Celticpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 10 August

A dominant Celtic side lead thanks to Benjamin Nygren opener.

A deserved advantage for the visitors after a fast start from the hosts.

It was a good run for Kusini Yengi behind the Celtic defence but I don't know what he was trying to do with that one.

  16. CHANCE!published at 13:18 British Summer Time 10 August

    Aberdeen 0-1 Celtic

Topi Keskinen gets the better of Benjamin Nygren to send a ball into Kusini Yengi, but he can't keep it down and the ball goes out of play.

A seldom venture forward from the hosts as the first half edges closer to the break.

Alexander Jensen, Nicolas Milanovic, and Nicolas Milanovic are deep in conversation with Jimmy Thelin on the touchline as we wait for play to resume.

The Dons boss has the invisible tactics board as he gesticulates where he wants his players to be.

A Dimitar Mitov goal-kick gets us back under way.

  19. Postpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 10 August

Alistair Johnston tries to square it across the box, but Nicky Devlin clears it for another Celtic corner.

Once again, Liam Scales gets his head on the end of the corner, but it's wide of the mark.

There's a stop in play here while Devlin gets treatment for a head collision amidst it all.

Good play from Celtic. Being patient and waiting for that opportunity to get behind. A good combination of passes.
