    .

A truly fantastic atmosphere at Anfield as Crystal Palace players line up to give the Premier League champions a guard of honour.

A classy touch as the Liverpool players then give one to the FA Cup winners.

Football is often tribal with rivalries dominating, but it's nice when there's such a unified sense of celebration as there is here.

  2. 'I don't agree with booing one of your own'published at 16:01 British Summer Time 25 May

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Final Score

I can understand why the Liverpool fans are upset but I don't agree with booing one of your own. Trent Alexander-Arnold wants to challenge himself, new country, new language, new culture, and I think it will be great for him.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 25 May

We are under way up and down the country for the final day of the Premier League.

  4. Villa focussedpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 25 May

Man Utd v Aston Villa (16:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Amid the general discontent at Manchester United, it has been another good season for Aston Villa.

But it would really be handy for Unai Emery if they can qualify for the Champios League again.

Their task is simple. They must win and hope one of the three teams above them don't.

  5. Newcastle fans deliver the messagepublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 25 May

    Newcastle v Everton (16:00 BST)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at St. James' Park

Newcastle United's fans have just unfurled a huge banner stretching across the entire Gallowgate End reading: "You Entered The Pitch As Players. You Left It As Legends".

That's the hope inside a bouncing St. James' Park anyway.

  6. Two guards of honourpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 25 May

Liverpool v Crystal Palace (16:00 BST)

Champions Liverpool received a guard of honour from Crystal Palace and then returned the favour for the FA Cup winners.

    Classy touch all round.

  7. Late change for Ipswichpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 25 May

Ipswich v West Ham (16:00 BST)

A late change for Ipswich Town ahead of their match with West Ham at Portman Road.

Goalkeeper Alex Palmer, who had been due to start, has been replaced after feeling unwell.

Christian Walton now starts in goal for the Tractor Boys.

  8. 'No Kovacic for City worries me'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 25 May

Fulham v Man City (16:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fulham are a nightmare to predict. They won well last time out against Brentford, I'm not sure many people saw that.

The thing that worries me about Man City today is, they beat Bournemouth and beat them well and Mateo Kovacic was their driving force. I know he got sent off but he knitted things together in the middle of the park and he was unfortunate with the sending off. They're going to have to replace him. That's what worries me.

This has been a poor season for Man City but their league form recently has been pretty good.

Nottingham Forest v Chelsea (16:00 BST)

There's a party atmosphere at the City Ground and those Nottingham Forest fans are full of hope.

They need three points and results to go their way today but it's more than possible.

As a City fan of over 30 years I'm used to disappointment and struggle but once you've tasted success it's hard to let it go, I haven't enjoyed this season one bit. If we qualify for CL football today I don't think it's 'saved' our season but it does put a whole different complexion on the next.

  12. 'Amorim inherited this mess'published at 15:53 British Summer Time 25 May

Man Utd v Aston Villa (16:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

This isn't Ruben Amorim's team, he inherited this mess from Erik ten Hag.

He needs to bring his own players in, but how the hell is he going to bring his own players in at the level that he will want?

The best players don't want to go a football club that don't have Champions League football or even the Europa League.

At the start of the season, I hoped that Forest would be comfortably in 14th or 15th in the PL, with no relegation anxiety for the last few weeks. To reach the FA cup semis and be guaranteed at least 7th place is beyond my wildest dreams. (Although CL qualification would be great!)

Taiwo Awoniyi has just been welcomed onto the pitch with the Forest players stopping their warm up and the home fans standing to applaud the striker.

He is recovering from urgent surgery after suffering a ruptured intestine against Leicester this month.

The forward collided with a post late in the game and was put in an induced coma as part of treatment process.

  15. 'Newcastle can't sell Isak if they want to progress'published at 15:51 British Summer Time 25 May

    Newcastle v Everton (16:00 BST)

    Statman Dave
Football analyst on BBC Radio 5 Live

Alexander Isak is so important. With Isak in the team they've won 61% of their Premier League games. Without him they've not won a single game.

That shows his importance over the three seasons, especially this season, and they can't sell him if they want to progress and challenge for the Premier League.

  16. Sutton's predictionspublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 25 May

    Newcastle v Everton (16:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC Football Predictions Expert

Newcastle are at home, and their superior goal difference means they know any sort of win will keep them in the Champions League places regardless of what Aston Villa do.

I usually fancy Eddie Howe's side to win when they are at St James' Park but there are serious doubts over Alexander Isak's fitness which is a real worry. I would have a different feeling if he was in the team.

On top of that, Everton are an awkward team to break down, who also carry an attacking threat with Beto in such good form.

So, I don't think this will be straightforward at all. I am still backing the Magpies, but I would not be surprised if Everton nicked a point.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-0

  19. Forest guaranteed best finish in yearspublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 25 May

Nottingham Forest v Chelsea (16:00 BST)

Even if they lose this match, Nottingham Forest are guaranteed their highest Premier League finish since 1994-95 (third). Should results go their way on the final day, they could potentially reach the European Cup for the first time since the 1980-81 campaign, when they did so as reigning European champions.

However, Forest have won just one of their past seven Premier League games against Chelsea, beating them 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in September 2023.

The Blues won this fixture 3-2 last season. Only once have they won consecutive away league games against Forest.

  20. 'Questions for Maresca if Chelsea don't make Champions League'published at 15:46 British Summer Time 25 May

Nottingham Forest v Chelsea (16:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's massive for Enzo Maresca to get in the Champions League because, if he doesn't, there will be Chelsea fans pointing fingers at him and saying, 'Have you done as good enough job?'.
