Juventus v Manchester City (20:00 GMT)

    Stephen Warnock
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

The Manchester City players have never suffered from confidence before - a lack of it - because more often than not they're winning or taken out of the equation very quickly when the manager, you don't think you're in a lack of form but you're getting to the cusp of it and he takes you out before that even happens.

He hasn't got that luxury at the moment.

You see in these players that are really suffering at the moment and they have not got a clue how to get it back.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has outlined his ambitions to win silverware this season.

"We want to do something really special. We want to win everything. That's the mindset of everyone. We want to win trophies," he said.

"We want to win every time we play. We all share that mindset and we just want to win and make sure that the trophies come to the club."

Victory for Arsenal would keep them on track to finish in the top eight and skip the play-off round.

  4. Guardiola not planning to manage another clubpublished at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December

Juventus v Manchester City (20:00 GMT)

Pep Guardiola says he does not plan to manage another club again when he leaves Manchester City.

The 53-year-old, who previously managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich, has been City boss since 2016.

He is contracted to the club until 2027.

"I'm not going to manage another team," he said on YouTube.

"What I'm not going to do is leave Manchester City, go to another country, and do the same thing as now.

"I wouldn't have the energy. The thought of starting somewhere else, all the process of training and so on. No, no, no. Maybe a national team, but that's different.

"I want to leave it and go and play golf. I think stopping would do me good."

  5. 'We are buzzing to see one of our own playing in a big match like this'published at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December

    Arsenal v Monaco (20:00 GMT)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sport about youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly starting: "There are the circumstances and then the fact the kid has done really well for us. He deserves a chance. We are buzzing to see one of our own coming out and playing in a big match like this."

On Monaco: "It is a really tough match. They have been in great form domestically and in the Champions League. They've had some really good results."

On reaching the top eight: "After what we have done in the last few games and what we did against Sporting, now is the time to capitalise at home. We have two games at home, we have to start tonight. If we win we will be in a really good position."

On potential recent reliance on set-pieces: "We still need to have the dominance we have and have a little more killing instinct. It's about capitalising then. It is the last pass, the last action that is not here. It is my job to help them find that."

  6. 'You sometimes get a cracker'published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December

Juventus v Manchester City (20:00 GMT)

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Juventus are very, very beatable but this is Manchester City of the moment - that's the problem - not Manchester City of eight games ago, so it's very interesting, it should be really exciting.

Sometimes when you get two great teams who are in form, against each other they can cancel each other out.

Two teams that aren't playing as well and are making mistakes, you sometimes get a cracker.

  7. 'Arsenal are very strong on set pieces'published at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December

    Arsenal v Monaco (20:00 GMT)

Monaco manager Adi Hutter says his side are prepared to combat Arsenal's "real weapon", their prowess from set-pieces, when they travel to Emirates Stadium.

Against Fulham at the weekend the Gunners scored their 23rd goal from a corner kick since the start of last season - far more than any other side in Europe's biggest leagues.

Before Monaco meet Arsenal, Hutter said his side had done more preparation than normal to combat their opponent's key strength.

"Our preparation for this match was more advanced than for a classic Ligue 1 match, that's for sure," he said. "They are very strong on set pieces - it's a real weapon for them. That's obvious.

"They train a lot for that, but we have an idea of how we should defend in these phases. We can also be a threat to them in this area, because that's also something that's an area of strength for us."

Arsenal and Monaco are 10th and 11th respectively in the Champions League table. With qualification still very achievable for Monaco, Hutter insisted his side will be aiming to cause problems of their own.

"It will be a very big game for us, but we are here in London to show our style of play, our brand of committed football," he said. "We do not only want to be a good opponent, but to try to bring something back from here."

The Gunners are particularly short defensively, with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu out and doubts over the fitness of Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Jurrien Timber and midfielder Thomas Partey - who often fills in at the back - missed full training on Tuesday.

Arsenal are 12th in the Champions League standings on 10 points, ahead of Monaco on goal difference.

  16. 'Our strength is the ball'published at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December

Juventus v Manchester City (20:00 GMT)

This is the worst run of Pep Guardiola's managerial career.

Nottingham Forest are the only team they have beaten since October.

"The team is good. We can't rotate the team to give rest, that is a problem," he said.

"In the end we punish ourselves in many games, we make mistakes and we have to avoid it. So, I don't blame the situation, that is the situation. Life is like this. We have to do better with the players we have in terms of results.

"Our strength is the ball. Our strength in the success of the past eight or nine years is we run like desperate things when we don't have the ball.

"With the ball we are incredibly patient. Let them run and run. Now, we are in a moment where we attack so quick and we do a lot of things where we are not in the right tempo."
