Cheers for getting in touch Richard. I was on the live on Monday night and was really surprised that the Get Involves were almost a 50-50 split of 'Howe in' and 'Howe out'.

I always thought Howe's position was pretty secure.

Should NUFC fail to win today then there will be a sharp upturn in pressure on Eddie Howe. Eddie has a lot - and I mean 'A Lot' - of good will from Toon fans but after Mondays result against WHU which was accompanied by an awful 2nd half display there will be quite serious questions. There have been some poor displays this season as well as some good ones. He has an almost fully fit squad and I don't expect that excuses will be tolerated. Personally, I think he'll be fine but I know a fair few who don't think the way I do.

It’s not only the sunny weather here today that’s given the Forest fans a lift after two defeats in a row, but it’s also the news that both Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson are fit to start.

At their best those two are the engine room of Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.

Over in the away end though there’s a quiet confidence that Ipswich have a chance to spring a surprise and win here for the first time since 1999.

A few Ipswich supporters were telling me that after five points from their last three games they finally feel like this team has settled into life in the Premier League.

Getting out of the bottom three this afternoon would feel like a huge step forward for Kieron McKenna’s side.

    Brentford v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC Sport predictions expert

As I speak, Ruud van Nistelrooy has not been confirmed as Leicester's new manager, and whether he will be in the dugout or in the stands here.

The smart move would probably be to distance himself from this game because, with five wins and a draw so far, Brentford have got the best home record in the Premier League this season.

If you are Ruud, you jet in after the game - Heathrow Airport is not far away - and jump on the team bus for the trip home after the Foxes get pumped.

I have got some sympathy for Steve Cooper over his dismissal by the way. Leicester were always going to struggle this season.

There are all sorts of stories flying around about how the players never bought into his methods. Maybe there is an element of it where the Leicester players think they are better than they are, but they certainly need to improve their timing.

There are photos of the squad out in Copenhagen this week for their Christmas party, and if they are holding that in November then something is wrong - although I must admit we have had the decorations up at our house for three weeks already.

    Sutton's prediction:2-1

Bournemouth have won 1-0 at Molineux in both the past two seasons, but these are two sides that are hard to predict.

The Cherries have lost two in a row, with that coming after three superb results which saw them beat Arsenal and Manchester City with a draw at Aston Villa sandwiched in the middle.

Not many people would have expected Wolves to gain their best result of the season last time out either, winning 4-1 at Fulham. What we get today is anyone's guess.

    • Crystal Palace beat Newcastle 2-0 at Selhurst Park in April and could win successive league games against them for only the second time, and first since a run of three from 1971 to 1972.
    • Newcastle’s solitary Premier League away victory against Crystal Palace in the past nine attempts was 2-0 on 27 November 2020 (D5, L3).

When you're down there it's hard and it's ugly and you need to fight to get out.

I think they are well capable of getting out of it but we keep on saying that and they keep on staying down there.

For Palace fans, it's not panic time yet but they could do with a win.

Crystal Palace v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Scott
BBC Radio 5 Live commentator at Selhurst Park

They [Crystal Palace] have had a couple of decent performances since that one win against Spurs with those draws against Wolves and Aston Villa - matches they could have won on another day as well. They got those decent performances without [Eberechi] Eze and [Adam] Wharton.

I think Oliver Glasner is looking on the brightside but when you look at the table it's not good reading for them at the moment so some points in this busy December period are an absolute must for them.

They've conceded a lot of goals last season, Leicester.

You look at their stats and scoring they're alright.

Stop conceding is the one - they've appointed a guy who has had one season in charge of a team.

Was it this time last year that they were struggling a bit? Or are we misremembering?

  18. Leicester Christmas party behaviour 'unacceptable'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Brentford v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

So then, what a week it's been for Leicester.

Sacked one manager, appointed a caretaker boss for a couple of days, hired Ruud van Nistelrooy. And in the middle of all that, went to Copenhagen for their Christmas party. And got a right telling off for it.

Caretaker manager Ben Dawson, told players their behaviour at the festive bash in Denmark was "unacceptable".

The players travelled following the 2-1 defeat by Chelsea on Saturday with Steve Cooper sacked 24 hours later.

Video, which has not been verified by BBC Sport, emerged of the squad partying in a Copenhagen club with a sign reading "Enzo, I miss you" - referencing former manager Enzo Maresca - nearby.

"They've had the key message from the club that what's gone on was not acceptable and we need to move on," Dawson said.

"Every player needs some time off. The time off at that time was scheduled, the players were entitled to do what they want. The particular issue has been dealt with quickly internally and we've moved on from it."

  19. 'I'm not entirely sure on him'published at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Brentford v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Former Foxes striker Matty Fryatt is sceptical about Ruud van Nistelrooy as Leicester City's new manager, with the club still yet to officially announce the appointment.

Speaking on the latest When You're Smiling podcast, Fryatt said: "I didn't see this coming at the start of the season! I'm not entirely sure on him, in terms of him being unproven and where Leicester City are currently at.

"He was obviously a fantastic player. He always played at the top with Manchester United, Real Madrid and those types of teams.

"He was head coach at PSV but it is usually a three-horse race in that league, so that means being at the wrong end of the table is unfamiliar.

"You look at the other managerial candidates, especially Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, they never really cut it at Premier League level.

"But the Leicester City board might be looking at it and thinking in the same school of thought as the route of Mikel Arteta, Enzo Maresca, Kieran McKenna and Michael Carrick. They might be hoping that route has something behind it.

"Obviously he will get the respect for his player career, but I'm not sure as a manager because it is something different.

"The club has acted swiftly. Previously, in their relegation campaign, they were a bit late in terms of sacking Brendan Rodgers. I think it needed to be changed sooner, so they have acted quickly this time and obviously identified Van Nistelrooy as their man."
