  1. goal

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villapublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Ismaila Sarr (29 mins)

Adam Wharton delivers a lovely ball into the box and Chris Richards heads goalwards but Emi Martinez produces a decent save. There is Ismaila Sarr to then tap home. On his birthday too!

For FPL fans: shouldn’t that be a goal AND assist for Pedro?

    Alan, Northumberland

    Maybe. But it isn't.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

Crystal Palace have a corner after some strong running from Ismaila Sarr. John McGinn can't believe it's been given but he's going to have to get his defensive head on now.

  4. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 1-1 Fulham

A vital block from Santiago Bueno of Wolves to block Andreas Pereira's side-footed effort from 12 yards out. That's a good piece of defending.

So frustrating watching Martinez standing unchallenged with the ball. Palace attackers need to put pressure on him.

    Wolves 1-1 Fulham

It's a good game at Molineux. Fulham almost retake the lead when Andreas Pereira dinks a ball over the Wolves defence, Adama Traore, on the right side of the penalty area and against his former side, controls well on his chest and fires at goal, but Jose Sa manages to get his body behind it and save the effort.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey reacts after scoring a goal that was later disallowedImage source, Reuters

Jacob Ramsey has the ball in the back of the net after being slipped through by Ollie Watkins but the flag is up straight away. Won't take much of a VAR check here - Ramsey looked a good couple of yards offside.

  8. 'Gomes pops up'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 1-1 Fulham

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

Joao Gomes, again pops up as the spare man at the back.

No one from Fulham picked him up. Minutes before he had half a chance and this drops lovely for him.

The overload on the back post and Ryan Sessegnon ends up with two [Wolves players]. Bernd Leno beaten by the pace.

  9. 'Very bland and tepid'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

    Aaron Paul
BBC Radio 5 Live reporter at Selhurst Park

    It's very, very flat here.

Part of me is thinking of getting my half time cake out for a quick nibble because on the pitch nothing is going on.

Villa have matched up against Palace in a 3-4-3 and it is very bland and tepid.

Keepers get free kicks if someone is in the same postcode as them, so Kepa being penalised for that isn't so harsh. You can't so much as jump next to a keeper without the resulting goal being ruled out, so that pen is just for me. Kepa put himself in a position where he could end up fouling Joao Pedro.

    Tom

Harsh pen?? Pedro was pushed in the back, which is why he clattered into the keeper

  11. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

There's the first big chance been and gone. Andres Garcia puts in a lovely cross and the onrushing Youri Tielemans can't quite time his jump so the balls skids harmlessly out of play.

  12. Tuchel watching potential England playerspublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Alex Howell
BBC football news reporter at Selhurst Park

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has just been shown on the screens in the media area.

There's lots of potential England players on the pitch for him to watch tonight ahead of his first squad next month.

  13. goal

GOAL - Wolves 1-1 Fulhampublished at 19 mins

    Joao Gomes (Wolves)

Wolves equalise at Molineux. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde crosses from the left, Wolves skipper Nelson Semedo fails to make a clean connection, but the loose ball drops kindly for Joao Gomes and he blasts the ball into the roof of the net.

  15. Postpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton 1-0 Bournemouth

Since the start of last season, only Liverpool's Mohamed Salah (16) has scored more penalties in all competitions among Premier League players than Brighton's Joao Pedro (12).

  16. Postpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 0-1 Fulham

Almost an equaliser for Wolves. A cross finds its way to the back post where Joao Gomes is there, but from a tight angle he can only lift a shot over the bar.

  17. Postpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

Harsh pen that. He’s basically knocked that off for a goal kick knowing he’s happy to clatter into the keeper and get the pen.

    Daniel, London

Not sure about that penalty for Brighton... Pedro just runs into Kepa. Not a foul for me.

    Tom

What did Kepa do wrong? Came out, stopped, Brighton player runs into him. Not a penalty

João Pedro has scored six of his seven Premier League penalties, only failing to score against Aston Villa in May 2024.

  20. 'Harsh call'published at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton 1-0 Bournemouth

    Andy Reid
Former Tottenham and Nottingham Forest midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Kepa comes out and stays in the line, he doesn't stretch to get the ball. He doesn't change his angle. Joao Pedro steps into the keeper.

I think it is a harsh call but once they are given they are not getting overturned.
