GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-1 Aston Villapublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Morgan Rogers (42 mins)

    What a time to equalise!

Ollie Watkins makes the run to the byline and feeds it back into the box for Morgan Rogers to power past Dean Henderson.

This is being checked for a possible offside against Watkins. It looked close!

Re: Andrew @ 20:04. You're not wrong about Martinez. But he has also pulled off a dozen absolute worldies this season, including the one away at Forrest and the tackle outside his area against Nunez last week, so swings and roundabouts.

  4. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

Jean-Philippe Mateta is getting in on the act now! Ismaila Sarr this time turns provider - he finds Mateta in the box but the striker can't get enough of a connection to turn it goalwards. Palace are really flowing now.

  5. 'Sarr will rue that'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

What a save by Emi Martinez.

That's Palace in full-flow. Energetic, and intensity to get themselves up the pitch quickly.

    Sarr will rue that.

Nothing against Wolves at all, but them suddenly finding a bit of form is making this relegation battle a bit of an embarrassment.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa's corner is hammered clear by Jean-Philippe Mateta. There's definitely been a change in momentum since the goal with the hosts looking dangerous in attack.

Just after typing that, Ismaila Sarr side-foots a volley towards goal and it's a great reaction save from Emi Martinez. So close to a second there.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORK - Brightonpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton 1-0 Bournemouth

Entertaining on the south coast. Brighton counter and it falls to Kaoru Mitoma, but he strikes against the post following an acrobatic volley as the Seagulls almost flew into a 2-0 lead.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton 1-0 Bournemouth

A good chance for Bournemouth as Antoine Semenyo shows his pace by breaking clear of the Brighton defence. He only has Bart Verbruggen to beat and opts for power, but the home keeper does really well to save the ball with his body to maintain his side's lead.

Botswana's Letsile Tebogo has been paraded pitchside as an avid Chelsea fan in attendance for tonight's match with Southampton.

He won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics but will no doubt be demanding a win like the rest of Stamford Bridge once the match kicks off.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

The first card of the game is given to Will Hughes for a late one on the edge of the Aston Villa box. He'd been given a telling-off a few times from the referee. It was coming.

  12. Postpublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Wolves 1-1 Fulham

Wolves' Andre is feeling a bit brave as he reacts to a challenge and charges at Adama Traore, not the Premier League player you'd pick to take on in a fight. It is not long before it's all calmed down.

We call Emi Martinez “the world’s number 1” but if we’re being honest, he’s been a little suspect for quite a few goals this season. He’s not been helped by the defence, but he’s definitely not been his best.

    Andrew, the realistic Villa fan

Ross Matthewman: Martinez is strange this season. World class in the big games, but really off it and questionable in the lower profile league games

  14. Postpublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

Ismaila Sarr is causing Aston Villa problems with his pace as he powers down the left and looks to find Jean-Philippe Mateta. The ball finds Eberechi Eze on the edge of the box but his shot is charged down well.

Emi Martinez has to do better there. He got two hands on the ball and should parry it away from danger. However Ismaila Sarr was in the right place at the right time to finish.

The game hasn't been that good but now it should open up with Aston Villa going behind and having to come out.

  17. Postpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

That's a huge blow for Aston Villa. They were much the better side but Unai Emery will be furious with how that goal was conceded.

  18. 'Can Martinez not do better there?'published at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

    Andy Reid
Former Tottenham and Nottingham Forest midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I am harsh on keepers but can Emi Martinez not do better there? He got two hands on the ball and he could and should have caught it.

  19. 'Palace kept the ball alive'published at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

They kept the ball alive, Palace.

Chris Richards did so well putting the ball in the right area. Ismaila Sarr was in the right position at the right time.

It has not been the most intensive game, but Palace have had the control of it.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton 1-0 Bournemouth

An injury for Bournemouth's Ryan Christie means he has to go off after only 26 minutes. He is replaced by Alex Scott, who has had his own injury problems this season after being out for almost four months from October to mid February because of a knee injury.
